This proved to be a delightful visit, even in the depths of winter! The grounds offer a variety of short walks with an extensive water feature linking them all. An informative film explains the recent history of the place and shows how the impressive Edwardian garden was first constructed. Finally, we had an excellent lunch in what was formerly a stable block. The menu was both creative and enticing and reasonably priced. We'll worth a visit!

Lovely experience at the illuminate event.
Social distancing was in place and staff we all wearing masks, plenty of hand sanitizer around as well.
The event was great and my kids enjoyed it, and the food and drink were a perfect way to cap the evening off!

We have been fortunate enough to photograph a few beautiful weddings at Hestercombe Gardens. The light in the orangery suits our style of modern, bright photography perfectly! With the acres of grounds and gardens at Hestercombe you are spoilt for choice for photo opportunities. The staff are friendly and professional, we highly recommend Hestercombe Gardens.

Lovely walks, but £13 each to enter. We had our little pooch, so couldn't enter the house

The best Father Christmas ever congratulations. A 3 year old sometimes scared of animals or people invading his personal space He was at ease with Father Christmas, whose setting was in his own woodland hideaway with his Elves, engaged and relaxed out grandson. A really special occasion. Congratulations to all.

Wasn't the most safest place for my family to visit. I'll explain;
I have a toddler son 20 months who likes to run around and unfortunately I thought this would be a place for that but it wasn't, lakes and waterfall and high areas made it a constant danger, also I have twin girls 12 weeks old and this wasnt ideal for a twin buggy plus elevated areas where not negotiable. Also a 30 min wait for food isn't ideal for a family my size (perhaps had I realised i should of booked) Also not many plants or flowers but I guess it was winter. More for a rambling group I would say.

Anyway not to give you a negative review bc that's not what this is, it's just based on my family size and accessibility & safety.

Other than that it seems a very beautiful place to visit and the restaurant looked like it would serve very good food and the cafe sold lovely cakes I can certainly vouch for.
