Now the 3 day festivities of Christmas have passed, many people's thoughts turn to their New Years' Resolution. It is not surprising that quite often the top new years resolution that people have, is to lose weight!
At a party a few days before Christmas, I was sitting with a group of women and at various different times during the evening at least 5 of those women said to me "I start my diet in the New Year!" So even though Christmas hadn't even begun, they already had their "diets" in mind! And with further questioning, each one admitted that this was the regime every single year. In fact, they also admitted that they would eat everything in sight over the festive period, knowing that it was back to deprivation and struggle with their diet in the New Year.
How many of you can identify with this? Well, it doesn't have to be this way. You could actually make some simple tweaks to your habits, behaviour and attitude towards food so that dieting could become a thing of the past! Imagine how good you would feel every January, knowing that you could maintain your weight without having to diet, without depriving yourself of your favourite foods and without despair and guilt about every single morsel of food you put into your mouth!
