The Environmental Fair, Carshalton, is being held at Carshalton Park, Ruskin Road, Carshalton between 10:30 and 8 pm. Hopefully the sun will shine enabling all ages to attend this great fun day out.

There will be something of interest to all ages with entertainments for the children, with face painting – watch out folks there will be dragons and ferocious tigers aplenty, the potter’s wheel – try your hand at throwing a pot or two, and interesting craft activities and a lot more.

Food and drink will feature strongly. There is a diverse and very appealing list of cultural delicacies available enough to make one’s mouth water with anticipation. Choices will include Thai, Indian, Caribbean, West Indian and Moroccan delicacies to name a few, this promises to be an exciting day of tastes and aromas that will take a lot of beating. To wash down the paella or pizza there will be a beer tent and plenty of chances to buy softer drinks too.

In addition, there are Farmers Market Stalls, selling fine local produce and there is a wide choice for our vegan friends.

There will be 150 stalls for visitors to meander around looking for tasty treats, and bargains galore. Rich and spicy pickles, sweets, aromatic fresh coffee, and beers from our local Micro Breweries offering fine real ale with a local taste. In addition, there will be a Café bar for folks to rest their aching feet awhile and sample fine local produce. Around the Fair there will be drinks stalls and ice cream to keep the children, and adults, cool.

Music will be keeping us all entertained, there are three stages available for our local talent to perform and we are assured of Jazz, Rock, Folk and other performing arts to keep us amused.

We must not forget that The Environmental Fair is about saving our environment. EcoLocal develops and delivers a broad range of environmentally sustainable services that are aimed at helping people become more aware and more proactive about this issue. EcoLocal concentrates on Community Engagement, local, health, energy, and waste reduction initiatives, plus Training and Event Management.
