How do you fancy a ride in a horse drawn carriage along the Broadway in Cheam?  Perhaps you would like to try all the fun of the fair outside Cheam Station or just browse amongst the market stalls and shops?

Well here is your chance! The best place to be in Sutton this coming Friday, 6th December is in Cheam Village where Cheam Traders are putting on a Late Shopping Evening and Christmas Fair .  The highlight of the evening will be the switching on of the Christmas illuminations by local celebrity, actor and comedian, Tim Vine who will be speaking about why Cheam Village is so special. There will even be a guest appearance from Queenie the Chihuahua!

Radio Jackie will be broadcasting from this event and there will be lots of stalls selling any amount of items, such as garden ornaments, skincare and cosmetic items, wooden toys and decorations, jewellery, cards and stationery and many others.  A good number of the shops are remaining open and will have their own special promotions running throughout the evening. This is a great place to find a more original Christmas gift perhaps for that more difficult person.

On top of all this is a great deal of fun and entertainment.  Cheam Baptist Church is putting on an Open Evening of music; in addition to the Horse and Carriage rides in The Broadway and Fairground rides in Station Way, there is a children’s Disney Treasure Hunt and the children of St. Dunstan’s Primary school will be singing Christmas Carols.

There will be a raffle in aid of Sutton’s local hospice, St. Raphael’s, with lots of good prizes. Tickets for this can be obtained from Village Travel, 5 The Broadway in Cheam.

Come along and bring the family and start your Christmas off in style!
