Buy a Christmas present for a Sutton child in care!

In the front reception of Sutton Police station there is a Christmas tree on display bearing a total of 200 gift tags - one for every child in care in the Borough.

Pick out a tag and it will bear instructions that will register you with a website to receive an email with details of a child's gender and age, which will be up to and including 17.  If you are unable to call in to the station and pick up a tab, you can still register directly with the website www.met.police.uk/christmastree/sutton

Once the present has been purchased it should be given in unwrapped and with the reference number given by the website to Sutton Police station, 6, Carshalton Road. All the presents will be wrapped and and handed out at a children's Christmas party in December.

Alternatively, you can donate money to be given for presents if you prefer.

With very little effort, you too can help to make the festive season just that little bit happier for a local child in care.

This initiative is art of the Met Police Commissioner's Christmas Tree Appeal which launched across London on 10th November to provide presents to children in care across all 32 London Boroughs.
