The event at Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Hall celebrated YMCA Sutton Coldfield's long-standing commitment to supporting young people, families and disabled adults across the town and surrounding areas.

Guests enjoyed an afternoon of reflection, community engagement and celebration, recognising both the charity's rich heritage and its continuing impact on local lives.

Founded in 1901, the charity delivers a wide range of services and support programmes designed to help people overcome challenges, build confidence and achieve their potential.

The event welcomed long-standing supporters, local stakeholders and representatives from partner organisations who have contributed to the charity's success over many years.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, YMCA Sutton Coldfield has introduced the 125 Club, an opportunity for businesses and community supporters to make a one-off sponsorship contribution of £125 in recognition of the charity's 125 years of service.

Rachel Dutta Choudhury, bid writing, fundraising and development manager of YMCA Sutton Coldfield, said: “Our 125th anniversary celebration was a wonderful opportunity to recognise everyone who has been part of our journey.

“We are incredibly grateful to our staff, volunteers, trustees, partners, supporters and service users, past and present, who have helped shape YMCA Sutton Coldfield over the last 125 years. Together we have changed countless lives, and we remain committed to supporting local people for generations to come.”

The celebration also highlighted the importance of community partnerships and the role local organisations play in helping charities address social challenges across the region.
