Beautiful cinema that has clearly had a lot of money spent on it. This was always our local cinema so the area was gutted when it originally closed. It's a shame the original venue lost its parking at the rear but still a great place.

Awesome experience during the release of the mandolorian film. Very clean facility and spacious comfy seating with foot stools. Will be visiting again.

Great cinema! I like how it looks inside, nice theme. Great chairs where you can sit together, or you have a footstool. I like the fact that the sound is loud but not too loud. The staff is nice, there is a good selection of snacks to buy, and, most importantly, it's local!

Love the new cinema. I’ve been a few times now. Always served by the lovely Marissa and Dez. We had a birthday party there and they couldn’t do enough to make it a great experience

Independent will always be better than chain, and this is no exception.
The atmosphere is comfortable and classy, with the interior being themed similarly to how it would have looked when it first opened in the '30s.
The screening rooms are pretty much the same, with the smaller ones having sofas and the largest having recliners. I've found the audio and screens to be high quality, with the colours being vivid and blacks being dark.
This will be our third visit, during which every time we've had a good chat with the staff. They seem to have quite a few employees, but all the people we've spoken to have been friendly and insightful, even talking to us about the history of the building and showing us around. I've seen them quite enthusiastic about reruns of old films (which I particularly enjoy, having not often seen older titles being shown in cinemas).
Price wise, it's surprising cheap for the quality. Tickets are half the cost than chain cinemas, and I'm always happy to support an independent business.
I've had a great experience here every time and it's definitely one of my new favourite night out spots. Highly recommend.

We discovered this cinema a few months ago and it has since become our first choice for films. It's independently owned and they've gone to great lengths to create a modern and relaxed venue. The seating is first class, the screens are of a high quality, as is the sound. The staff are incredibly friendly and actually interested in their job and films, we've had numerous discussions with several staff members before and after our showings.
Tonight we're seeing a film in their largest screen, Steve gave us a preview of it on our last visit and it looked absolutely suberb, he and the other staff members (sorry, I'm terrible with names) were clearly very proud of it, and quite rightly too.

Great selection of films. Has anyone seen the Devil wears Prada? Great film, I won’t spoil it on here but Meryl Streep is a gosh darn queen.
Anyway, great bar on the top level to chill while you wait for your movie to start. But be careful about how much you have to drink before the film or you’ll be ranting about how much you love Meryl Streep…..

A good cinema. Very comfortable seats and reasonable prices.
Would give 5 stars but there was a strong smell of urine in one of the corridors on the way to a screen.
Hopefully it’s been sorted now.
We will definitely be back.

What a stunning addition to Sutton Coldfield. I have been using this cinema for a while now and I have no desire to go to any of the other big chains. This is a walk away from all the eateries in Sutton and the ambience is superb. Long may this place last x

Jayne on the ticket desk was so friendly and helpful so from the very beginning the experience was excellent. Then Jamie on the bar was brilliant explained the different wines to me. Both of these staff are excellent 👏 👌

Probably the nicest cinemas I've ever been to. Chairs super comfy very clean venue even the toilets very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. And parking nearby. What more could you ask for to watch a film in comfort?

I absolutely love visiting this cinema. It's super friendly & the staff always go out of their way to ensure you have a good night . It's family friendly too ( the Polar Express Christmas event was brilliant)
Latest visit was to see watch the Devil Wears Prada. I was able to get the last few tickets for Glamour night with the help from someone through Instagram. What another incredible night. Red Carpet on arrival, goodie bag on the seat, free popcorn, prosecco & even moved to better seats .
Cocktails were great too.

The Royal is truly a comfortable place to visit. Seating is so comfy you can relax really easy. The team are always really helpful. Always worth planning a visit on your nights out, you'll be back again and again! You can now also order pizzas from the bar!
They've now included 3D which is fantastic!! Great prices too.
There is also a mystery screening on 2nd January. Nobody knows apart from the managers what it is. A brilliant idea!

Just watched the new Michael Jackson movie, it was amazing can I just say how lovely the cinema looks, how friendly and courteous the staff are, the seats for the cinema are sooo comfy, I will be coming back again, it's lovely in here, thank you so much for a lovely evening
