Friendly & attentive staff and a lovely atmosphere. My husband’s rump steak was slightly over cooked but was a very clean cut with no gristle. Proper chips would have been a bonus. My skate wing was a huge disappointment. . . too much butter making it very greasy and only half a wing so not a very big portion size. Waitress explained at the end that they buy in big skate wings and portion them up, but as I didn’t get what I thought I was getting, the manager took the price of the skate off the bill. Had deserts which were homemade but probably wouldn’t bother with them in the future as they were not that special.

Dropped in to The Fox at Bulmer as I needed somewhere quiet to work. The team were really welcoming and went out of their way to find me a corner to use my laptop. I stayed for glass of wine pf the week with dinner. Wow the food is excellent, very well presented, hot and delicious. I had the Chicken Stitzel, cooked perfectly.
Loved the anchovies on the Caesar salad.
All the members of the team were attentive and welcoming. Thanks for having me, I will be back.

Lovely food and really great service! Staff were extremely supportive with my gluten free allergy and provided me with a separate and varied menu to choose from. Highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant. Clean and modern inside. Great service and food was outstanding.
Meal for two plus small dog. I had the lamb burger which was really nice. My partner had the pigeon wellington - a pigeon virgin - and he loved it. Both were from the spring menu.
They also provided a water bowl for the dog 🐕❤️

We’ve had some very average Sunday lunches over the years but very pleased to say that our lunch at The Fox today was absolutely delicious. Hot, tasty and plentiful food served with good humour and just enough ‘service’. We will be back.

We found this place by accident two years ago. Haven't been back since as we are not local. Decided to have a couple of days away in Sudbury. Gave us the opportunity to revisit the Fox. We were not disappointed. Visited two nights running. The food was excellent, the staff equal to it. Fran and Gary are too good to be referred to as mere servers. Would recommend the beetroot trout as a starter. For mains try the pigeon wellington, you'll not be disappointed. We both agree that should we live nearer the Fox would be a regular place to go to. It's a great place to take your friends.

We visited the Fox at bulmer tye twice in one week. On both occasions the food we had was absolutely delicious. Monday’s are pie days not to be missed and those of you who love a steak, mine was cooked to perfection. Service and staff were excellent.

As always a special place, with relaxed but professional service, fine foods and fine wines.
The new Spring menu is amazing with so much choice, I have to keep coming back to try it all! Today was the Pigeon Wellington, with Boulangere potato's and seasonal.veg, cooked to perfection, with a reduced red wine jus.
