I picked fish and chips as I saw a plate come out which looked amazing. I Think maybe the chef went on a break when I ordered mine... However the staff are lovely and the choice of drinks great so an enjoyable visit. I will visit again one day.

Me and my partner had dinner here last night and all I can say is wow. What amazing food! I had the pork shank and it was honestly the best pork I have ever eaten. My partner had the beef stew which was also very tasty. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the food is really high quality. I felt it was very good value for money and I will be back soon!

Went to lunch with friends. We didn’t book but were able to have a table. I can highly recommend the beef stew and thyme dumplings. Plenty of lovely soft beef and three light, crispy on top dumplings with a Rick, thick gravy
The haddock was accompanied by lovely crisp chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce.
The sweet treat was a small but very adequate lemon cheesecake accompanied by a hot drink of your choice. The sticky toffee pudding came with perfect amount of toffee sauce and a small jug of perfect custard. My disappointment the pudding was quiet dense for my taste but my husband managed it with ease

A lovely tasty meal.We were spoilt for choice and would like to try some other dishes next time.The steak menu was particularly impressive. The staff were friendly and helpful which added to the great atmosphere. In conclusion I would definitely recommend eating here!

We returned to The Fox recently with friends and, once again, had a brilliant evening. The food was excellent, and the service really made the evening. A special thank you to Fiona and Millie, who really looked after us. We’ll definitely be back again soon.

We visited here off the cuff and were pleased we did. The staff fit us in even though they had big tables to cater for. It was New Year’s Day and I ordered the turkey pie which I thought was risky but it turned out to be a good choice! It was jam packed full of meat and was so tasty. We also ordered a beef and thyme dumpling stew which was an enormous portion with so much flavour. The staff were all lovely and it has a nice relaxed atmosphere inside. I’ve already returned for a mid week lunch which was equally as good! Little bit of the pricey side though!

The first time I had been in The Fox and I was really impressed. I had a lovely flat iron steak which was cooked beautifully. The staff were lovely and so was the wine!

Love The Bulmer Fox’s idea of pie and a pint for a few quid. Pie pastry is absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. Vegetables are cooked perfectly too as well as the mash. The pies themselves are absolutely delicious & stuffed full of meat. I’d love to eat here every night. The bitter they have to go with the Pie is also just what I like.

I came with my mum and dad and they both said “this is the best meal we’ve had for ages”.
For me also, I haven’t had a steak cooked with such perfection like that for years, the last time I had a steak like that was in the centre of London about 12 years ago.
Considering there was only one chef, well, hats off to him!
