Thought we would try a new venue a bit further from home and boy was it worth the drive. Firstly it is set in a lovely rural setting with plenty of outdoor space which gave it that relaxing feeling which is just what you want when you are about to start a long lunch. The menu was well thought through, not too many dishes which is reassuring as you know the food will be freshly cooked. We all chose something different and nobody was disappointed. Interestingly they are part of a small group that brew their own beer with a choice of three styles, very nice. Staff all very helpful and the prices reasonable, what's no to like.

First time out and wasn't disappointed. Special occasion for the family. Lovely place and staff were very friendly. The food was amazing and reasonably priced for what we chose. Would recommend that you try here, and we would definitely return. Big thumbs up 👍

Whilst I only stopped for a snack a few months ago my toastie (Arnold Bennett with smoked haddock, cheddar, sauce gribiche) was delicious with the accompanied triple cooked chips. 3 own-brewed ales were on - the Brewshed American Blonde was delightful though a tad expensive for the area maybe. However in Covid 19 times with limited trading hours and custom I suggest it can be excused!! Obviously caught by surprise at the volume of customers the single waitress/greeter/bar person coped very well as did the kitchen. Signnage/sanitisers/QR code etc well evidenced as was courteous table service and clearance/cleaning.
Well worth a visit!

Another excellent lunch at The Crown. Outstanding value, excellent service, but above all inventive, well presented and very tasty food. Small high quality wine list.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend at the best of times but given present circumstances do p,ease support them (and all local independent restaurants and pubs)

We visited this pub on the final night before lockdown. Please pay a visit as soon as the pub reopens it really is worth a visit. What I love about the pub is that it has a changing carefully crafted menu every week, so you can check what is on the menu before we visit. My wife had a tasty spinach and chick pea curry with home made flat bread, this was homemade and beautifully presented. I had fish and chips which was perfectly cooked and the hand cut chips were superb. Both meals were generous and cooked perfectly. Credit to the chefs and the waiting staff they are wonderful

Went there for lunch after a fabulous dog walk starting from the pub.
Our waiter was the best. Very friendly and attentive. The lunch was spot on...menu changed regularly as shorter than usual.
Very clean and Covid measures well covered.

The Crown is a favourite place to have lunch especially after a walk. This pub is spacious, clean and airy with attentive well trained staff. The menu always has a tempting variety of dishes which are obviously given a lot of thought. The food is not “pub grub” but a treat to enjoy. The young man who served us today couldn’t have been more charming or helpful. Good service really does make a difference to dining out and the provision of cloth napkins adds a spot of luxury.

What a beautiful pub. Set back from the noise and bustle of everyday life, the staff were most welcoming. The beer was well kept and good to drink. My Prosecco was fresh and sparkly. The food was delicious. We had venison pie and it was nicely cooked and well presented. Our desserts were tasty too. All in all we had a great experience at this gem of a pub.
