Fabulous service as always. Booked in for brake pad replacement following an MOT advisory. Brakes were checked and then I was called to confirm what was needed. Repair done and car back in quick time. Couldn’t ask for a better business to do business with. It is always a pleasure.

Booked my car in with a rotational noise and for a pre MOT check over. When I received the health check it immediately rang alarm bells as things that were marked off as good that I knew were broken. For example, the windscreen washer pump had failed. This then made me doubt the validity of the report. I decided to book the car in to have the wheel bearing done as diagnosed. When the car went back, they changed their minds and told me they now think its diff related and to go to another garage. I collected the car and still had to pay for half an hours labour. I get time isn't free, but it had already been diagnosed by Tackwood. I took the car to a gearbox specialist, they checked it over and said it was the wheel bearings all along and didn't even charge me to look at it, despite me offering to pay them. Car is now booked in elsewhere to have the wheel bearing done.
EDIT: After receiving a call from Tackwood following the review. I have increased the rating after a refund was issued for the additional labour as I feel that is fair.

I took my car in for replacement brake pads and for an exhaust issue. I was quoted a very reasonable price, and on the day was greeted by friendly staff in reception. They fixed my exhaust without needing extra parts and my car was ready by midday to pick up. Great service and reasonably priced.

Matt is one of the best technicians at Tackwood MOT & Service Centre, he is extremely knowledgeable and ensures every job he does meets a very high standard. He is always willing to go the extra mile to meet customers needs. We've had the pleasure of Matt doing services and MOTs on cars and would always choose him. The guys in the office are always friendly when collecting or dropping off cars.
