I’ve used Tackwoods for a couple of years ands have found them to be transparent and helpful. Just had an mot and service, had a call to say it didn’t need the more expensive service they had quoted for. Plan to continue to using them as great service.

Brilliant service from start to finish. From great communication throughout to the thoughtful little touches dotted around. Not only was I told exactly when they intended to do different parts of the work, there were umbrellas next to the door in case it was chucking it down. The tiny bag of chocolate eggs on the passenger seat when I picked it up were a sweet little surprise too.

I’m new to the area and, as a young woman going alone to get my MOT done, I’ll admit I was a little nervous about choosing the right garage. I’m so glad I went with Tackwood MOT & Service Centre!
From the moment I arrived, Darren on reception was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which instantly put me at ease. The whole experience felt honest and professional, and most importantly, I didn’t feel taken advantage of at all — something I know can sadly happen to women at garages.
I dropped my car off at 7:45am and by 8:45am my MOT was already done and passed. Such a quick and efficient service!
I genuinely couldn’t recommend this garage enough. If you’re new to the area like me or just looking for a trustworthy place, this is definitely the one to go to. So glad I chose them!

Robbie, and Dominic have both provided excellent service for me recently, and have gone above and beyond to help resolve issues. Robbie collected my car from home, however, the driver's door firstly wouldn't open, and then, secondly, wouldn't close, but undeterred, he drove it back to the garage trussed up in 3 scarves which helped to keep the door shut whilst driving. Always excellent service, I would never take a car anywhere else!

Tackwood’s really are the best garage locally. Their customer service team are helpful and their technicians are great at explaining the fault and showing you the replaced part. For someone who knows nothing about cars like me it’s reassuring to be able to trust them to solve the problem.

I had a great experience with this garage. From the start, they were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. What really stood out was their honesty, they explained everything clearly and didn’t try to upsell unnecessary work. They actually saved me a lot of money that another garage had booked to do 😃 The quality of their workmanship is excellent, and it’s clear they take pride in maintaining high standards. Absolutely brilliant service from the team at Tackwood. Took my vehicle for an MOT, needed some work to pass! As I'm self employed I needed the vehicle back on the road as quick as possible, which they did for me.

Appointment booked by telephone, I had a date in mind and it was accomodated. I requested a “wait” appointment, again all good. On the day I took my car for its MOT at my chosen time, I was greeted warmly at reception and all details of contact checked. I decided to go for a walk rather than sit in the waiting area and was informed I would be called as soon as ready. This call came within the informed time of 40mins. Upon return another of the reception staff dealt with my paperwork and payment which was ready and waiting. Again very courteous. My car was by the office door and everything clean and no greasy smells etc. very pleased as always have been using Tackwood for many years.
