The children can't be bored when Solihull can offer a host of amazing activities this weekend and the week ahead. 

The following is only a sample of what's on in Solihull, for the full listings of all local events click  here. Why not take a look so you can book and plan the rest of your Summer with the bestof.

It's all happening at the 'Costa del Solihull'  in Touchwood. There's fun for all ages, with a carnival atmosphere, a wonderful beach area, and daily events it has to be on your to do list. The festival is on now until Sunday 4th September so every day can be a Summers Day in Touchwood!

Close by in Mell Square the Summer of Fun starts.  There are  activities over the last three weekends of August starting with family football from 11th - Sunday 14th August. View all of the  Come out to Play family activities and put them in your diary. 




Guy Young lands at West Warwickshire Sports Club on Friday 12th August, with a Tribute  to a great Band ELO and Hits produced by Jeff Lynne, including "Mr Blue Sky", "Rock & Roll is King", "Evil Woman", "End of the Line", "Turn to Stone" & Many More.


On a more serious note, if you are want to learn more about your local Asquith Nursery, why not come along to their nationwide open day on Saturday 13th August?

The Solihull Day children's nursery is situated within the David Lloyd Leisure Club in Shirley, Solihull, and is running a Food Glorious Food Open Day  giving you the chance to look around the nursery, & meet the team. 




Don't miss an opportunity to sample the best of locally sourced food and produce from a range of top quality suppliers at the Fine & Local Food Fayre  on Saturday 13th August. Held in Mell Square come and see what it's all about.


A very popular fund raising event is the Friends of Damson Parks Dog Show & Fun Day  on Saturday 13th August. The event is fun for all the family, including their four-legged friends, with the much-loved Dogwatch dog show, children's rides, entertainment and stalls galore.


 
The amazing Leicestershire Co-operative Band will be playing a diverse programme of brass arrangements, from modern pop songs to military marches, on Sunday 14th August at  'Music in the Park Let's Face the Music & Eat'  event in Malvern Park. Take a picnic or buy sample the tempting treats on offer at....

Solihull's first Food Festival  taking place also in Malvern Park. 

 
Art Workshops  for beginners are available in Shirley on Monday 15th August. Held every Monday there are two session times to choose from, so if your feeling creative now's your chance!
 
 
Check out the great activities at The Parkridge Centre,  Flying Friends and  Wildlife Watch at various times and dates.
 
 
Calling all pudding lovers - join in for charity, Age UK Solihull, and eat as many puddings as you like! The  Pudding Party are also looking for volunteers to donate puddings for the event so if you love baking get in touch and help out.

The  Shirley Family Fun Day on Monday 22nd August is sure to be a hit. 



 
Get your tickets for  The Spectacular Science Show at The Core Theatre on Thursday 25th August, this is science like you have never seen before.

Wyndley Garden Centre presents  David Oakley & A Box of Tricks  magical fun with modelling balloons and a magic show, on Friday 26th August.  

This is definitely worth a mention  The Solihull Summer Fest two days of festival fun in Tudor Grange Park, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th August.
