About Damien

I was born and bred in Belfast during the troubles. I have been in England almost 28 years and spent 9 weeks working in New York back in 2011.

I have a degree in accounting and am a part qualified CIMA accountant. I have spent most of my working life to date as an Internal Auditor for a Global Utility Company, National Grid, where I planned and performed reviews of financial and operational processes, before leaving on redundancy to take up Bookkeeping. 

I am a school governor at Widney Junior School and a Volunteer Treasurer for the Oesophageal Patients Association (OPA) Charity based in Solihull. 

I am married to Louise and have  two step children, Sophie & CJ. We have a cocker spaniel called Hugo who loves to get out for a walk and sleeps with us at night!!

I  enjoy football, cricket, gardening and going to the theatre. and when  I can find time to relax I love walking the dog watching television or going out for a nice meal and a few drinks, although my  major hobby seems to be work at the moment!!

I once did a bungee jump from 165ft in the air off a crane at Ackers Trust in Small Heath, that was not very relaxing but good fun!
