The expansion of clinics at Sutton Medical Centre, Sutton Coldfield follows a successful launch two years ago with a team of orthopaedic surgeons from the Midlands Orthopaedic Practice, which is based at The Priory Hospital.

In addition to this the hospital is also opening up clinics in Knowle, with consulting rooms at the new and impressive Heath Lodge Clinic, Warwick Road. This will allow patients to be seen for both initial consultations and follow up consultations at either location if required.

The Priory Hospital, which is based in Edgbaston, and is part of BMI Healthcare, will now offer patients additional clinics across a much wider range of specialties. It gives insured and self-pay patients from Sutton Coldfield and Solihull access to some the Priory’s leading consultants and highly acclaimed specialist clinics, but without having to go across to Edgbaston.

Director of Nursing for the Priory Hospital, Pat Munday, commented, “We receive a lot of referrals from GPs in and around Solihull and Sutton Coldfield, but up until now some patients have had to come across the city to Edgbaston. These new clinics, which are supported by many of our consultants, are aimed at giving patients more choice in where they are initially seen and to make it easier for follow up consultations.

“Our orthopaedic and spinal surgeons are very popular and now we are adding our sought after gynaecology, bladder and bowel experts too. All the consulting rooms offer discreet and private consulting for both insured and self-pay patients.”

Some of the specialist clinics which have already committed to sessions include the Midland Orthopaedic Practice, the Birmingham Gynaecology Clinic and the Birmingham Bowel Clinic.
