This new Government initiative offers small businesses a free business diagnostic workshop and 1-on-1 mentoring session worth £500, with access to a full course of training on business growth from a national consortium of leading Business Schools.

The Government’s offering £3,000 of funding to help pay the majority of the cost towards strategic and business management training, covering the common areas small businesses face when growing their business – identifying the growth potential, recruiting and managing the team, finding the funding to make it happen, and marketing strategies to deliver the results. Yes, that means businesses need to invest £2,000 toward this, but it's something they might expect to cost a great deal more. Why put a price on growth and future prosperity?

The Chartered Universities Consortium has an outstanding track record in supporting small businesses to grow, so click here to find out more and apply online. It’s a short application which will ensure SME are not wasting valuable time in the busy run up to Christmas. Or if businesses prefer the personal approach, get in touch with us by emailing growthvouchers@aston.ac.uk or calling 0121 204 4822 for more information.

The full course of 10 workshops will run from January to March 2015, starting with a free diagnostic session- the first on Thursday 8th January 2015 with other dates to follow. All the workshops will take place in central Birmingham and businesses are encouraged to apply before Christmas to make a fresh start for the New Year.
