The 14 Days of Love campaign aimed to raise awareness about the continuous plight faced by local businesses and prove that local communities can make a difference to a town’s economy and pride. Support for independent businesses is essential for the British high street, which saw an increase of 0.9% in January retail sales last week.
Amongst the most loved businesses in Solihull are:
De Vere Village - Hotels
The Beeches Bar and Grill – Modern British Restaurants
Enzo Hair Salon – Hairdressers
Adam Loughrey of thebestofsolihull said, “It’s really encouraging to see such a huge number of people voting in the 14 Days of Love campaign. It just goes to show how much our communities are supporting their local independent businesses, which is great news for the British high street especially during difficult economic times. Small businesses are the engine room of our economy and lots of local business owners – and their loyal staff – are feeling great this morning because their efforts have been recognised and appreciated by so many of their customers.”
Tony Elvin, General Manager of De Vere Village in Solihull said the following;
“It is great to see people coming out to support local businesses and the British high street, thank you to all our customers who voted for us in the 14 Days of Love campaign, we’re really honoured to be named the most loved business in Solihull.”
