College to host Careers Events for school leavers

Solihull College is holding a series of Careers Events for young people deciding their next step.

Each session will enable school leavers to discover how the College’s courses can help shape their futures, as well as find out what qualifications they need to get into university and the many different career options this can lead to.

From hairdressing, beauty therapy and horticulture, to media, sport and the arts, there’s a wide range of programmes on offer for school leavers at Solihull College.

Sandra Brookbanks, Assistant Principal of Teaching and Learning at Solihull College, comments: “Our Careers Events are designed to give young people the opportunity to find out more about the different courses on offer at Solihull College and the qualifications needed to pursue their ideal career. The events will also allow students to see where they’ll be studying and the fantastic facilities available to them. We have great links with a number of universities and employers across the West Midlands who will also be on hand to offer advice and answer any questions the students may have.”

Amongst the universities attending are Wolverhampton, Coventry and Newman College, as well as employers Deloitte, Dancescape and Keane Brands.

The Careers Events are taking place across the College’s three campuses Blossomfield, Woodlands and the Construction Centre, depending on subject, and places need to be booked in advance.

To book your place call 0121 678 7000. Lines are open from 8am – 7pm Monday to Thursday and from 8am – 4.30pm on Friday.
