The policy on my classic BMW was up for renewal and I contacted the BMW owners club service at Howdens for a quote. I spoke to Richard Spencer who guided me through the proposal details and came back with a quote that was only £1 greater than the cost of my previous year's cover which I accepted. Subsequently, I discovered that the ICAEW had a rewards scheme that offered free policy excess cover. Richard arranged for me to receive this benefit. I have two other vehicles and my home insurance who's cover will be due for renewal later this year. I shall definitely be contacting Richard for quotes.

Ryan made the process of setting up new car insurance very easy and was both knowledgable and helpful. Though the insurance provided was not the cheapest, the service Ryan suggested I would be getting should make it more than worth the money. Policy has only just started so cannot comment further.

I was very happy with Leanne-Marie at Howden today when I renewed my Caravavan Insurance.I was given a warm welcome and was very acommodating helpful and phone me back when she said she would which make a change,also it was nice to talk to her and not have to renew on line.

The initial part of the process was very good, and for people who are use to more traditional insurance companies, it is different - you need to ask more questions, but you do get a personal response. After this it goes downhill a little bit. The emails you get are less informative with key information missing, for example you get a somewhat childlike email telling you about your insurance portal, which you need your insurance policy number to access. I wasn't told what my policy numbers were nor did I get an email informing me of them. I have now sent two emails on this matter with no reply.

I found Howden Insurance in Ruislip extremely professional. Their staff had excellent product knowledge and were able to efficiently arrange new insurance for my car at a very competitive price with a trusted insurer.
