I dealt with Alex Nea for high value car insurance. I was unable to find insurers for my particular situation but Alex came through. His response time is excellent as well. He was also very patient understand all my needs and addressing all my queries even if basic/ trivial.

We had a disaster upon returuning from holiday to find our new house badly flooded from a WC cistern seal.
The insurance company repaired all aspects that needed to be repaired to a high standard.
The only negative was that it took some time between the de-humidifiers and repair start-up to complete, but otherwise highly reccommended.

Knowing that could speak to the same member of staff each time to clarify any issue with any of the three policies we now hold with Howden is always reassuring.
Two of the three policies we have found to be more competitive than any comparison site and although the third was more expensive, having that reassurance that a few simple calls would or the wheels on motion in the event of us ever having to claim.

Callum was really helpful, and very easy to deal with. I always rate a business when you have a chance to discuss your requirements with a real person, and cover off any small, but important details. Callum made absolutely sure that I double checked that my car had a tracker fitted and wanted me to confirm that it was there, so that there would be no question that my policy provided the cover required. He also managed to get my renewal premium down, which always puts a smile on my face!

Never used Howdens before because I couldn't be bothered to change companies but was forced to change this year as renewal was too high and howdens came out the best.
