Apologies if I'm repeating my myself but my initial review disappeared. So I'll do this in a list.
Been with Howden formally A Plan for 31 years
They insure my rental properties
For this renewal they took their eye off the ball and sat on it for 6 or 7 working days bar one call to an underwriter that was not followed up.
Faith restored and kept business with them only due to a particular member of staff, Matt Chant.
Professional beyond his years, did everything he said he would do, he is motivated, organised and precise.
If Matt Chant isn't in a management position, then Howden open your eyes and promote PDQ before another outfit snaps him up.

Very happy with the service received when I contacted Howden's to purchase a new home insurance policy for my house. They recommended a company which specialised in the particular kind of cover I was seeking and the cost, I considered, was reasonable. I particularly like the fact that I have a single point of contact for any future queries about the policy, or claims on it. I was so impressed with the service that I also bought a home contents policy for a flat I own at the same time. I would certainly recommend Howden's to anyone looking for insurance cover for any purpose. Both Michael Kellers in vehicle insurance and James Mackintosh in household insurance were really knowledgeable, explained everything clearly and I'm really happy to be taking out my insurance policies with the help of Howdens. Although a little more expensive than the online quotes I received nothing beats the personal touch, that ability to phone and question a human during the duration of the policy and knowing that your understanding of the wording is actually what the wording means and there won't be any surprises should a claim need to be made.
