So far, so fantastic, Having had a dreadful experience dealing with a certain on-line motor insurer, I went to the Howden Branch in Frome to talk face-to-face with a real person and was quickly reassured that my difficulties could be resolved. I can recommend Howden as one of the best, if not the best insurance brokers I've encountered in many years.

Howden had previously arranged renewal of a policy on a car which I sold shortly before the renewed cover was due to incept. I then agreed to buy a new car for which Howden recommended a different insurer. The new car was not delivered when expected which involved insuring the old car under the new policy and delaying inception on the new car. Then the new car was delivered and the old one traded in which involved yet another change. Howden took it all in their stride with admirable efficiency and patience. It would have been quite impossible for me to have dealt with the problem without their assistance.

Was looking for a cheaper quote from my existing company. Looked up over 70’s insurance. Howdens popped up and hey presto! They were able to reduce it by nearly £200. Very helpful staff, explained the policy - what was included - answered questions fully. Had to ring for policy documents which were a little late arriving, but staff were very helpful and they were sent straight away. (Small error on email address)
