Since the acquisition of Jelf Insurance into A-Plan, the personal touch has gone out. The latest renewal for example, I was simply sent a quote and asked if I want to renew.
There were a lot of questions and back and forth, which, if the broker had simply thought through the customer process could have been easily avoided. The service was fast, but the quality and human element was missing.
Simple things like, it is time for renewal and we wanted to check if any circumstances or coverage needs to change, we reviewed your previous, this is the best quote based on previous/updated details would have gone a long way to show that you care about the customer rather than the revenue that customer will generate for you.

Good communication, good service and based in the Town of the ever diminishing Maidenhead.
However having purchased two insurances, one House and one Car I was thanked almost immediately for taking out the House insurance by E-mail but eventually a couple of days later I had to phone Ryan ( who had initially served me ), to remind him that I had not been thanked by E-mail in respect of the Car insurance purchase. Again it was three days before I received a ‘ response ‘ by E-mail regarding the Car insurance.

Dealt with the Ipswich branch of A Plan Insurance.
Usual commutation prior to the renewal date.
Willing to take the payment nearer to the actual insurance due date.
Had slightly increased from last year, but did give a discount.
Still economically better than the so called discount offered thro my classic car club I have belonged to for 18 years!!
