Good to speak with people relatively local to me & the customer service is good although I haven't had to make a claim so can't comment on that but that is why I use a local broker. Disappointing bit is the game we have to play every renewal time owing to the non competitive renewal quotes & it makes me feel like giving someone else the business to teach them a lesson.

Only had a quote and insurance set up, not made a claim and so this is a reflection of that in which I found great.
Having up to this point been able to take insurance out through the normal comparison websites, but now with a modified van I wasn’t really looking forward to having to call to get quotes etc but have to say I was very happy with the service from A-Plan (thanks Tasmin for sorting this out).
I got quotes from a few other brokers and although this quote wasn’t the cheapest I found, the service was definitely the best and the insurance they offered seemed much more bespoke to what I needed including elements I didn’t even know I could get cover for.
They also co-ordinate claims in house (rather than personally dealing with the underwriter) which after reading some horror stories when coming to claims does offer me some piece of mind knowing I have already received great customer service with the company.
