I was dealt with by Tom in the Shirley branch. My needs were a little more complicated than just getting a quote. Tom had the patience of a saint and just sorted my needs whilst keeping a smile on his face. Fantastic service & a credit to the company. I missed speaking face to face with a human being when sorting car insurance and I will not be returning to online comparison sites any time soon.

Our local A Plan insurance branch is now under the umbrella of Howdens. The excellent customer interface has remained the same, possibly because the same staff are employed!
I always feel that I can phone with any query about insurance I have purchased and at renewal time it feels that the staff member has all the time in the world to help me make the renewal decision. I may be able to find a cheaper premium online but with paying less money I am not sure I would have a successful time if I ever needed to make a claim. Here at Howdens I feel if a claim is required the helpful staff here will help with the claim process and that it will be honoured. Another example of getting what you pay for I suppose.

This is the first time in 32 years that I have been able to find a genuine insurance company like Howden. I bought an import car from Japan and I have had difficulties in getting an insurance policy cover for my car. I have been quoted some abnormal quotes ranging from 900.00 to 1200 plus sterling. However, I managed to get a policy for 500 ponds sterling from Howden Insurance company which is a huge saving. Please think twice before you buy or renew your policy.
