We had used A-Plan insurance very successfully for many years but when we were looking at moving to a location which was near a river, we suddenly discovered the problems of getting insurance in such circumstances.
Due to the specialist nature of the insurance we sought, we were transferred across to their Private Clients unit in High Wycombe who handled such cover and were introduced to Graham.
I cannot understate the efforts that he made on our behalf to find an insurance company who would be happy to provide cover in such circumstances. Talking to various insurers to identify those who would be prepared to quote, reading documentation that we provided on the flood risk, then returning to the insurers to discuss it further, before finally settling on an insurer who specialised in this type of insurance and were happy to provide cover.
Once we had settled on the insurance company, he then patiently answered numerous questions from myself as to specific details within the policy.
Without his hard work to locate such cover, we would not have been able to proceed with the house purchase, so we are extremely grateful to him for everything he did and the fantastic service he provided.

Absolutely brilliant conversations with Eric at the St.Albans branch this morning, he understood our needs and his recommendations resulted in our taking out both Buildings and Contents policies.

I have had a pretty unlucky year, including my house being flooded (the Great Swindon Storm of Sept 17 as it is likely to go down in legend). On top of that my home insurance company decided they did not want to renew my home insurance, so I had to find someone who would, quickly! I decided to give Howdens a try. I spoke to Greg Webb, and he was both professional and showed a great deal of empathy for my situation - it was nice to feel I was being treated as a person not a number. Greg got my insurance sorted out for me, which was a huge relief, so thank you Greg for making my life a little easier! I would definitely recommend Howdens for a professional and personal touch when getting insurance!
