Daughter & son in laws wedding 24/07/25 Emma & Paul made everything effortless for us. The evening before the wedding and on the day passed without a hitch. Cannot thank them enough. Accommodation was very comfortable. Food on 3 days was plentiful and delicious. The staff were all very courteous and friendly. The views and the gardens were stunning. The black swans were an added attraction.
Nothing was too much trouble we had hairdressers and a make up lady join us to do 7 ladies hair and make up. Breakfast was between 9 & 10am but it was no problem breakfast orders were taken and delivered to the bridal suite.
We received so many compliments on the day of what a great venue and everyone enjoyed the day. Thank you.
Would highly recommend.

My partner & I stayed for 2 nights at this beautiful traditional hotel recently whilst performing at a local music festival and we thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a top quality, peaceful, comfortable, relaxing retreat. The hotel is set in a stunning historic building situated in the heart of the picturesque Shropshire countryside and the rooms are lovely, the restaurant superb and the terrace and gardens are stunning - complete with a stream and black swans! All the hotel staff are extremely warm, welcoming, helpful, friendly and highly professional and their devotion to duty and the guest’s hospitality is exceptional and we cannot thank them enough. A special mention must go to the manager Steve who went above and beyond to help us and also to Emma, Luke, Becky and Lucy and the chef for their hard work. The only thing that would improve this wonderful venue would be if the breakfast was served after 9.30 a.m. at weekends, but staff more than made up for that. We look forward to returning again next time we’re in the area!

Historic building (500 years old) country setting. Staff are friendly and professional. Limited menu (to do with stopping waste). If you have mobility issues avoid Room 5. Access stairs are steep, uneven and narrow from one side to the other. Seemed expensive for what is on offer.

This venue is excellent, I have been here now many times for weddings, events and now recently for a birthday celebration for my wife and I. The team here are very professional, always willing to help, the catering is on point and the venue always well stocked. Kudos to Paul and his team here, they can’t do enough for you and the resident DJ Steve and Ben are grand!

Nice little getaway with family. Nice rooms, clean and well presented with great staff! Slight gripe the breakfast was a little bland and boil, warm and serve kinda thing but other than that brilliant stay.

We have been regularly visiting this hidden gem for the past 18 years and it never disappoints.

You can expect a very friendly welcome; delicious food; comfortable rooms and beautiful surroundings which makes every trip special.

We are always made to feel like VIPs and nothing is too much trouble for this team.

The Albright stands alone in a beautiful, peaceful, rural setting but there are also lots of interesting places to visit close by and the Albright makes a great base from which to explore Shrewsbury and the surrounding countryside.

Paul and his team would be happy to hear from you whether you want to get married in the beautiful garden gazebo; hold a special celebration, do your Christmas shopping in Shrewsbury or perhaps at Cheshire Oaks or just enjoy a few days of peace and quiet.

We would highly recommend a visit.

Absolutely sensational weekend for a large family reunion. Emma, Paul, Steve and all the team were amazing, so accommodating to all of us and making it a wonderful weekend in a beautiful setting. Emma worked with me to design a full weekend with a bbq on the Friday night, a 3 course meal followed by karaoke on the Saturday and a carvery Sunday lunch before leaving. The food was so good and the best hotel event catering I’ve found. The grounds are beautiful, it’s very fog and child friendly and there’s an electric car charger. Just perfect. We hope to return next year and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it or use for other events myself in the future.

Upon our arrival and throughout our stay, we were treated with exemplary courtesy. Our Evening meal and Breakfast were exceptional.

Am now a regular here having first booked at short notice six months ago. Work brings me to the area most weeks and I have always been well looked after.

The rooms are always spotless and comfortable.

Without exception, the people who work here are all welcoming and super helpful.

There's plenty of well lit parking and because the hotel is slightly out of town it's a peaceful location.

The hotel's focus on events means that mid-week it can be quite quiet, which suits after long working days.

If you're dining at the hotel they will send a menu and ask you to pre-select your main course. To be honest the first time I thought this was a bit odd: however they do this to make sure your selection is freshly cooked to order - all the preparation is done in-house with fresh ingredients and you can taste that. I now eat here in preference to heading to Shrewsbury or further afield for dinner.

We decided to try out their New Year package and we weren’t disappointed from the bagpipes to the fireworks it was absolutely superb. The room was fabulous and the staff were A1. It really was a special evening. And although we had never met anybody on our table before the company was brilliant too. Not surprised that at least 3 people we spoke to were returning after a great time the year before. Thank you for giving us a fabulous end to what had been quite a turbulent year. We REALLY enjoyed it

Four of us went to this gorgeous venue, for the New Year Gala and stay. We loved the gorgeous setting. The rooms were well appointed, and quirky.
The Gala dinner was extremely good the service for such a busy time was good. Having a piper, pipe us in to dinner was fabulous. The firework display New Year start was good, even in the rain. The Disco was pretty good also.
The onlt diwnside was, we had to share a table. When the booking was made, we were assured that our table would be just for us. There was a table of four, but it was not given to us. A shame as this was the only thing that marred an otherwise very good stay.
Breakfast was nice and plentiful as well.

We had our works Christmas do here for 30+ people and we stayed the night.
Front of house staff were lovely and welcoming, but that is all I can really say nice about our stay.
Our room was like something out of the 70/80s very twee and old-fashioned. Quilt cover had a rip in it. Bath looked old, faint smell of cigarette smoke. No soap, shower gel etc in the bathroom - to help save the planet apparently - you could request some at reception.
We were woken about 6am by what I assume was some kind of water cistern behind one of the bedroom walls that sounded like a plane going over head.
The party. Arrival time was stated as 7pm and most (about 180) turned up about then. We were all crowded into the bar which wasn't big enough and soon warmed up to a very uncomfortable temperature. They eventually let us in at 8pm. Drinks were astronomically expensive - £7.50 for a pint £8.20 for a Baileys or a large glass of wine (£25+ by the bottle) and £7.20 for a pint of coke!!!.
The main course wasn't served until after 9pm and my beef was dry and tasteless, though others who had the turkey said it wasn't bad. And my Xmas pudding was dry too.
All in all not somewhere I would ever go again and certainly don't know where it gets it 4 star rating from. I did voice most of my complaints to reception before leaving.

Lovely hotel. Parking easy. Really quiet. Easy access to the town. Stayed for 3 nights. One day my room wasn’t cleaned despite the sign I left on the door. TV a bit small. Internet access good. Overall I can recommend the hotel and I would stay again.

This is a lovely venue for a wedding or a dinner, which was why we stayed there. However we booked extra nights, this part of our stay was not so good. The events they held were late night dinners and weddings, great if you are there but not so great when you are trying to sleep. They also don't have facilities like a bar or other hotel niceties you can use when they are occupied by the event. Everything else was ok but not a good place to use as a hotel stay,
