I was attending a wake at the hotel so a sombre occasion.
I was greeted upon arrival and directed into the function room.
It was very spacious and airy and felt covid safe.
Staff were efficient and friendly.
Hopefully my next visit will be under happier circumstances.

Amazing hotel, more like a sprawling mansion surrounded by rolling countryside. Friendly, helpful staff. Only downside was difficulty accessing WiFi or mobile network due to remote location. But in a place as beautiful as this, you don't want to be on your phone all the time! Highly recommended.

The location of Albright Hussey Manor Hotel is ideal as a base for visiting Shrewsbury and the local area. It's very close to one of the park and ride facilities. The beautiful scenery around the hotel and the fact that it is set back about half a mile from the A528 as well as the impressive historic buildings that form part of the hotel, make this an idyllic and peaceful spot. The grounds are beautiful, enhanced by the residence of a pair of black swans on the moat-like pond in front of the ancient buildings. There is a lawn, complete with open-sided marquee, and accessories ready and waiting for wedding parties. Our accommodation, set in a (1980's?) Block was disappointing in that it was feeling a little tired, still in 1980s mode. An attempt had been made to update with new curtains and scatter cushions. Traditional bedroom furniture was quality made and well cared for. The tea and coffee making facilities were adequate although located in thenwardrobe where it was difficult to get sufficient light to see what one was doing. Although understandable, due to Covid, it was disappointing that room service was not offered and that we weren't advised of this fact on arrival, nor how we might obtain replacement supplies. For the same reason, and staff shortages, there was no breakfast or dinner available during our stay; again, disappointing but that meant we were able to explore other alternatives in the area.

We had this stay as a Christmas voucher, I searched the options and decided on this hotel. Easily booked with a more than helpful receptionist we were set to go.
Arriving at 3 we were welcomed , given what what , breakfast times etc and went to our room, Our room was beautiful, olde worldly with quality wood furniture, just what you expect in a period establishment . As were were going to Shrewsbury for the night we booked a taxi, recommended by the hotel, really reasonable £7 each way
We went to the bar waiting for the taxi, friendly, bright, clean and cosy and reasonable
Breakfast was a delicious cooked breakfast with all the extras, yoghurt croissants etc, fresh , hot and tasty, toast was plentiful and more if required
All in all a lovely weekend

Absolutely stunning hotel, with beautiful surroundings and historic history attached to the buildings
My only flaw was the cost of the breakfast, I'd say its slightly highly priced for what it is
But overall fantastic hospitality, and stay at the hotel

Lovely venue. The breakfast are very expensive but fairly plain. You would expect a better quality breakfast for the money you pay

Beautiful property and grounds, close to Shrewsbury. Room (#10) is large and comfortable. TV small and free WIFI good when you can log in. Reception and dining room staff either patronizing (Fawlty Towers) or flustered. Reception gave me a scrap of paper with taxi phone number and told me to book it myself. Waiter seems to enjoy making disparaging jokes about his “american cousins”. Breakfast otherwise excellent.

An amazing last minute stay after the other group accommodation we had booked had let us down. Managed to book everything and have lovely clean rooms for 12 people hoping to have a hen weekend within the hour. Malcolm the manager couldn’t have been more helpful and kind and helped us throw our hen a little party in their lounge area after what had been a very stressful day. Rooms were lovely and cosy and staff were out of this world. Thank you so much Malcolm you really did save the day!!

Very good, Granddaughters wedding. Weather not good , but everything else was very good. Used to go there in my working days, for lunch, and Xmas meals. I think the owner was Ken Micah then.

A lovely location, ancient and full of atmosphere. Food was excellent with bar prices a bit hefty but can be expected for a 4 star hotel.

The hotel looks lovely from the outside, we checked in staff not over friendly but she was efficient. The room was clean overall but a large spider in the light fitting and a few live ones in room i know this is not hotels fault but i feel rooms should be checked before guests arrival. The breakfast was served on a cold plate and the food was cold, it was mentioned to staff and they did not charge us for one of our breakfasts but i found the cost of £15 per guest rather expensive for what it was
