Lovely Sunday dinner in beautiful and historic surroundings. Malcolm (maitre'd / barman / comedian) was amazing throughout the whole evening.

Had our wedding here on Friday it was absolutely amazing. The staff here couldn't do enough for us they were great. David was very professional and so helpful for the whole 3 days we were there. We had our wedding outside which was perfect everyone said how amazing our wedding was and it was the best wedding. Rooms were all really nice especially Hussey suite was really special. Michaela was such a great help and such a great laugh thank you very much. The wedding room looked stunning I love this place thanks to everyone here from Katrina and jake jackson

Chose it for a private overnight stop as it had good reviews but these mostly as a wedding venue. Executive room for £100 booked on the day, definitely small and not worth it. Chose leg of lamb at dinner. More fat than meat. Manager full of bonhomie but did not ask us if we had enjoyed our meal. Mentioned fatty meat to Italian waitress but she had only been here a week so did not understand. November and arrived in the dark so could not admire gardens. Make sure there is not a party night or a wedding on if you are a private booking. Yes disappointed indeed.

I checked in on Friday 11th November the evening before my wedding.
I was greeted by Terri on reception, she was very welcoming and friendly. Once myself and my best man had checked in we went to check the ceremony room which had already been set up for our formal ceremony awaiting our venue dresser.
We had a outstanding meal in the restaurant in the evening. The restaurant staff couldn't do enough for us both, especially Javier, the restaurant manager. After having a very nice breakfast we proceeded to prepare for the forthcoming ceremony, with all the staff on hand to help with the final arrangements.Paul the hotel owner was never far away to answer any last minute quiries.Once married my bride and I were greeted by a drink served by a very friendly young man, then we were whisked off for photos, whilst the ceremony room was converted into our wedding breakfast room,in the blink of an eye our room was transformed into the most beautiful, thing we had seen, surpassing the image we had in our heads. The wedding breakfast was presented and served beautifully with an abundance of food and all our guests were delighted with everything they ate,Once all the formalities were over we went into party mode with the house DJ Andy who was fab playing a very varied collection of music it truly made our night,as did the evening staff who looked after our guests beautifully, especially the same young man who served our after ceremony drinks Macauley, who delivered the same standard of service throughout the whole day,
After another great breakfast we gathered all our belongings ready to check out were we were greeted by another very friendly receptionist amy. Checkout was quick and easy, the twin room I had the night before was pieceful very clean and comfortable and the bridal suite was beautiful again very clean and stunning views.
My wife and I couldn't of wished for a more perfect day and stunning location

Well done to all those involved you all outdone yourselves!!!!

I moved to this hotel after checking out early from the the Madeley Court in Ironbridge and stayed for 2 nights in Sep'16. This hotel was soooo much better! Nice clean room, Faultless service from the staff, Excellent food! I will definitely stay here again when I'm next in Shropshire on business! Highly recommended!

I have stayed here about three years ago and it was ok.
So I booked an Executive Twin Room. The room was not Executive and in fact, the bathroom was designed for a wheelchair user, so the wash hand basin was far too low. I had not requested a disabled friendly room and was not told that it was when I checked in. We were tired and did not bother asking for another room as we were onlt there for one night. I did ask if there were any weddings and was informed there was a dinner dance. It was not suggested this would be a problem.
At around midnight, We were woken to the sound of loud voices, some of whom had drunk too much. It was right outside our window, the room was on the ground floor by the entrance. This racket continued for one and a half hours.
I cannot understand why a hotel would allocate a room knowing that this would be a problem and also knowing that the guests were not disabled.
The people who had been to the dinner dance were waiting for taxi's and each time a taxi arrived it stopped right outside our room.
I will not be returnng..

We attended a Anniversary Party at the Albright Hussey Manor Hotel and stayed the night in "The Royalist Suite". This room was superb in the old part of the Manor house and included a four poster bed. The food was first class and the staff especially Malcolm the duty manager made the stay extra special.

We attended a wedding here. Everything was wonderful from the moment we booked. We asked to check in early when we booked online and a member of staff called within the hour to say that they would try their very to honour our request. All staff were friendly and professional, rooms well equipped, clean and ours had possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever had in a hotel. Breakfast was also exceptional. And as for the wedding itself, it was perfect. From the ceremony, to the wedding breakfast to the evening reception.

We stayed at the Albright Hussey hotel for one night , the old building has a great history - the stay was really nice but made so much better by the manager.

Unfortunately I was ill during the night and not very good in the morning , John , my husband asked the manager what time check out was because I was still in bed ill , the response was " Its 11 o'clock sir, but if your wife is ill stay as long as you like - Your room is not booked tonight , so stay until 3 pm if you wish , it's no problem " what a great attitude and a great option to have . I would add no charge was made for the very late check out . While still in reception , the manager called housekeeping to ensure we were not disturbed.

Excellent service - thank you .

I stayed at Albright Hussey Manor Hotel whilst working in Telford which was full due a conference. I was very impressed by the hotel and it made a very nice change for me.

The hotel is steeped in history and has a nice balance of modern facilities and a strong history dating back to 1524 I believe.

The service was very good and on two of the nights I had room service which was very nice and delivered quickly.

The hotel isn't far from Shrewsbury but is quite rural and remote. So if you want to get anywhere you need a car or a taxi. This wasn't an issue for me.

The area is very picturesque and right by Shrewbury's battlefield which makes for an interesting walk or jog.

Well worth a visit to experience something different and for what you get well worth the money!

Went to my cousins wedding here last week, beautiful surrounding and nice views, the rooms was okay, very clean. Only thing that didn't impress me was the night time food (timing), the night time guest arrived about 7/7:30 they waited till 10:30/10:45 for the food ! We was all hungry and the staff seems snappy, my brother and I went for a second plate, we got there and the women said "erm you could of brought your plate back ! " we have been here since 11". Very disappointed I just walked away! Sort your night time staff out, very rude they shouldn't be in a job like that if they can't cope with long hours !
