Only stayed for a very short time but the room was pleasant and very well prepared (by Debbie according to the card), I loved the fact they had coffee filters in the drinks station.
The staff were excellent, always on hand and incredibly polite. The breakfast was very good.

Lovely hotel and grounds and dog friendly rooms available. Could not eat dinner nor breakfast as student event on at night. In the middle of the country away from restaurants tough plenty of Just Eat deliveries available from Shrewsbury restaurants.

Not great at all very disappointing ! Drab, no pillow protectors, stained quilt on floor in a shabby cupboard. Quilt on our bed as flat as paper as are the towels. Tired and dated for the cost. Would not come back. Good job it is only for one night.

Went to my brother in laws wedding here yesterday stayed overnite absolutely perfect in every way,want to say what a massive difference grant made to our stay he did everything and anything for us nothing was too much trouble he went above and beyond what a priceless edition to a beautiful place food was amazing highly recommended

Had to let ourselves in, no staff to be seen. Room was small but clean and well equipped. Kettle, coffee (instant coffee, tea bags, only one hot chocolate sachet, and two filter coffee one cup pods) Bathroom was pleasent and towels were soft and white, good quality toiletries provided. Shower screen leaked on the floor.
Decore was dated in colour, beige and cream. Bed was firm. Only real complaint was the bedroom curtains which were not black-out lined so had trouble sleeping from about 5.00am.

Went here for a wedding. Only saw the bridal suite,which was beautiful and clean. Food served at the wedding breakfast was very tasty. Staff were all very pleasant

My sons wedding 2 days ago was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Fantastic location, beautiful building, all the staff were 100% spot on, food amazing. If anybody is looking for a local wedding venue this definitely is the place to be. Paul the owner was about all day making sure all was well 👍😀👌👏

We arrived and the front of house manager Emma was straight into making us feel at home she was polite professional and had a bit of humor I could not fault her.
We got to our rooms which are lovely then had a wander around the grounds and buildings which are beautiful.
We found the bar got a pint and sat down.
The TV wouldn't work so the manager Paul went and got his laptop and speaker and streamed the TV through his laptop so we could all watch the football he was a genunice and very interesting person.
Will definitely come back.

A lovely hotel in the countryside just outside Shrewsbury. Some of the fittings are a bit tired but kept nice and clean with a comfortable bed

Over night stay in Shrewsbury, we wanted somewhere with onsite parking near to the town. Lovely Hotel with character, stayed on a Friday night which was steak night in the restaurant, very well cooked steak, which was reasonably priced.

Great location. Very dated and requires a revamp. Mild around the bath and our room was too small for us and a travel cot. We informed the hotel that we would be bringing a travel cot. Friendly staff.

A bit of a last minute stay due to the awful flooding in the town centre. We thought it was actuality quite a find.
Offered a better room, a suite in the old part of the Manor, which was beyond quirky.
The staff were also quirky, and despite the fact that the restaurant is woefully understaffed, we had a lovely meal and very interesting conversations with Malc, Kirsten and Grant.
If you want something a bit different from the samey, generic hotel chains - this is for you!

First the good... Great night away with a fantastic taster menu dinner in the evening and superb breakfast, both beautifully cooked, accompanied by open fires in a 15th century manor...just what was needed on a stormy and very wet weekend.
Now the things to improve... whilst clean and tidy, decor was a little let's say dated, the bedroom tv, tiny for old eyes and the bed groaned upon any and every movement.
Please dont think this detracted from a brilliant stop over, loads and loads of hot water, wonderful eating, great staff and a lovely location....thank you
