I first meet Phil at University. He is a fantastic tennis coach and great with all his students, be it young children or competitive tennis players. I cannot recommend Phil (and Best Tennis) enough. Matthew Whinney

Phil is fantastic with kids. He motivates all three of mine (ages 9,10 and 12) to play their best and keeps them challenged and having fun. Can't wait to try lessons myself sometime soon!

My daughters have have been receiving tennis lesson from Phillip for the past couple of years. Phillip is very patient and good with the young kids, providing excellent encouragement but most importantly he makes tennis fun and therefore the kids are very happy.

I am not used to write comments but today, I felt that I need to do so as the position of Philip in Old Deer Park is in danger. It is a formidable opportunity my son had to be able to learn and improve his tennis with Philip. We started with my big one years ago, and Philip raised a confident tennis player and competition lover. His work is excellent, he knows how to work with children, they are always happy and focused. The courses run smoothly, with always encouragements and lovely way to congratulate them at the end of each session. The tennis techniques of my son were improving (as witnessed on other grounds). Philip speaks with the kids about their tennis strengths and weaknesses, make them involved in their progress. I was so happy that my little one will be with him this year. I started with private courses because I thought it was better ( like any parent who thinks that private is the best), but it was no long that I discovered that Philip manage to deal with each child as if they were in a private lesson (with a different price). I think that Philip master the management of these tennis courses, all over the year (term time and holidays) for our kids to grow good tennis player, tennis lover and more, tennis "connaisseurs", and I am sure it is not an easy task. He wins and deserves all my respect and I am looking forward to be able to entrust the tennis future of my kids with him.

My two daughters aged 5 and 6 have just completed a week's summer course with Phillip and had an amazing time. They have progressed from having never held a racket to really enjoying the challenge of hitting the ball. I hope this is just the start of their tennis experience. They are both really looking forward to more lessons with Phillip in the future.

My son loves playing tennis with Phil. He makes lessons fun for kids, but you can still see your kids' play improve day by day. Thank you, Phil!

In rain and in sunshine Phil is a cool, calm and clear teacher. Always a good atmosphere and people respond well to him and his lessons. Thanks Phil - really enjoying playing tennis again. See you soon.

My kids beg to go back for more lessons with Phil. He organises the lessons calmly and efficiently and the kids really respond to his fun but disciplined approach. They learn loads in a very enjoyable way. Phll you are doing a great job - thanks! Liz

Phillip is a great coach; young, motivated and reliable, but most of all he knows his tennis! His lessons and courses are enjoyable as well as challenging. I've been coached by him for nearly a year and even though I am moving away, I think I will still be coming down to Richmond for his great lessons.

My three year old son thoroughly enjoyed his summer tennis lessons at Deerpark with Philip. The classes were both fun and well structured and Philip interacted very well with the children.

My son Ollie (4) has really enjoyed both weeks he has done the tennis camp with Philip - Easter and Summer. He also does a tennis course during term time but I actuallly feel he has achieved more enjoyment and guidance from these camps and despite some of the weather in the summer there were no complaints from Ollie to attend which speaks volumes!We are looking to book up again for half term, thanks Philip.

My six year old boys attended one of Philip's one week summer courses and not only improved greatly but really enjoyed thier week of tennis. Welldone Philip and we will definately book up in the future.

I could see a great improvement in both my sons (aged 11 and 13) tennis over the week and it was a shame that the course had to come to an end. Both really enjoyed having Phil as a coach and the comment from my 11 year old was 'Phil was the best coach they had ever had'. I will certainly be looking at future courses with Phil.

My two boys, aged 4 and 6, both hugely enjoyed the mini-red course and got a great deal from it. Phil managed a mixed ability group extremely well and is a calm, encouraging and focused coach. Above all the sessions were full of fun and everyone came away smiling (especially when there were sweeties at the end!). I would certainly recommend these lessons to other parents.

My son (4) really enjoyed the week of tennis lessons during both the easter and summer holidays this year. He is now really enthusiastic about tennis. Phil is a great teacher; really holds the kids attention, making it fun and interesting. Despite 4 days of intense heat and then 1 of heavy rain .. nothing dampened either Phil or the kids' absolute eagerness to pick up their tennis rackets. Phil is exceptionally good with young kids, knowing how to get the best out of them whilst dealing with a few tantrums. Lots of happy faces all around. Cant wait to book up again.

Great course - second year of attending. My two boys came off the court hot and sweaty every day! Philip keeps them busy - they are never standing around doing nothing. The dungeon game is one of their favourite games!

The summer course for 3 to 4 years old was excellent. My son had a great fun and still talks about his time playing tennis. There was a right amount of children and Philip challenge them to learn but also made sure that the children have fun by playing. Overall highly recommended.

3 year old Lizzie really enjoyed her lessons and her older brother can'tr wait for his later in the Summer. Thanks Philip.
