After many bad stays at similar hotes, I think I can actually say I enjoyed this one. We managed to park without any hassle, check in was quick and easy. The room was clean, beds comfy with a choice of hard/soft pillows. Aircon worked a treated. Powerful shower. No noisy door slamming in corridors like I've experienced staying elsewhere. The breakfast was fantastic, would 100% recommend booking on check in due to price difference. Overall, very pleased with our stay here (I was dreading it when I found out where my partner had booked!)

A to Z,entry to exit this is a good place served firstly by a very friendly/helpful receptionist with the same follow on service from those at breakfast and others cleaning communal areas. My friend was attending a business meeting in a hired conference room in the hotel(he said it was very good) and I used the lounge after 1200 checking out for work. It was all uninterrupted with friendly chat with cleaner. Breakfast choice was extensive and well cooked

As a seasoned hotel user it never seems to amaze me at how poor holiday inns can be and i only tend to stay in them as a last resort. Now if you were paying low rates i would still be disappointed but would not feel justified to grumble as you get what you pay for, not here though.

Ok so i arrive at around 1900 where the only place to park is out on the street next to the bus station and when i speak to the receptionist i am told i will need to move my car before 7 am as i would probably get ticketed and thats what you get booking at a city hotel!!!!

Well that is not strictly speaking true now is it! ok so we got off on the wrong foot with a really irritating situation with the parking which they dont give a t*** about as it is clearly my fault.

The hotel room was clean and tidy with a reasonably comfy bed the bar was of usual hotel prices with a reasonable selection of bar food all pretty uninspiring. The breakfast was standard fair.

All in all pretty standard nothing special but no major gripes either. A little overpriced and i will never return here as it is not worth the hassle with the parking. To be fair its my own fault as i have yet to be satisfied with a holiday inn

Staff were incredibly friendly and couldn't do enough from the reception to the bar to the restaurant. The rooms were the usual good Holiday Inn standard and really clean. The gin and tonics were to die for and the breakfast was fab. If you're going to Preston, I'd definitely recommend this place to stay!

Just stayed 1 night for an early coach from the bus station . Check in very fast, room very clean and comfortable. Hotel is next to the bus station but we didn't have any noise in the room. The hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the center of Preston with some places to eat. We would recommend this hotel and will stay again if going to Preston.

I was very impressed by the staff who were helpful and curious. However the rooms were average at best. It was a bit noisy and wifi doesn't work. The breakfast was plentiful but not the best quality. Overall average except for the location which made it accessible but noisy.

Not too far from the railway station; if you don't have heavy bags then a short walk down the high street. Pleasant room but was an exceptionally windy night and unfortunately the glazing didn't completely block out the sound. However it wasn't excessive. Dinner was very good with good portion sizes, breakfast perfectly adequate. The staff really were exceptionally friendly and polite and made you feel very welcome.

Stayed in the Holiday Inn for 12 nights due to being on a Army course. The hotel outside is not much to look at, the inside is quite modern. Good bar and a good reception. The breakfast is very good, only bad point on breakfast the porridge was like water and some dirty plates.
The free wi-fi is mega slow and the premium wi-fi is £5 a day and the speed I got was 3.7 meg. The rooms are outdated and very noisy and if you get room 312 that should be a quite room it's not as the staff are very noisy using a staff lift near the rooms.
I would not stay for more than 1 night again and would recommend looking elsewhere.

If you need a hotel close to Preston City Centre then the Holiday Inn is great. Room was clean and tidy and restaurant nineteen75 served a decent selection of reasonably priced food. Breakfast offered a wide selection to suit all tastes.

A real positive was the attitude of the staff. All very friendly and prepared to go out of their way to help.

Went up north for a weekend to see friends for a 50th... The hotel is situated about a 10 minute walk from the railway station and 5 minutes walk from the main high street. The hotel is on a bit of a junction and tricky to get crossing the road to it... It does have limited car parking spaces... The hotel its self was clean and smart, friendly reception, bar staff and breakfast staff, breakfast was very good and well worth getting this included in the price, hotel room was very clean and a decent size. i would ask for a high rise floor to avoid the noise from passing traffic.

As a professional Dj you get asked to perform in various venues and I can only speak as I find....the staff at The Holiday Inn are AMAZING! Hardworking, caring and most of all they have brilliant team spirit, something that I have witnessed whilst doing their Christmas Parties, their collective energy and overall happiness have spilled out to the customers and have made Christmas 2015 a very special year for me as their resident for the period. Roll on 2016!

Fantastic location for Preston city centre. Welcoming, helpful staff. Rooms a bit dated, Windows drafts & do little to stop the road traffic noise. TV picture terrible. Free broadband very slow. Room service arrived quickly & the food was OK.

Here for a one night stay, friendly greeting on reception, lovely comfortable room with all mod cons, even though the telly picture wasn't the best, fast free wifi was included. In the bathroom, the shower worked well, and the towels were plentiful and fluffy.
This morning the breakfast was fantastic, great selection of fresh and tinned fruit, yoghurt, cereals, croissants, bread for toast, and a good selection of traditional cooked breakfast fare. Lastly, the service staff, were friendly and helpful.

Don't think I can find anything I can justly find real fault in!

I stayed here as I was attending a Christmas party in Preston and needed somewhere to crash!

The hotel isn't attractive at all on the outside and the inside is a little tired. The place is spotless as are the rooms. The service at reception and the dining staff are exceptional.

I have no complaints other than the look of the hotel which badly needs a face lift.

Stayed for 3 nights over the new year period, we were a bit worried about how the staff would be, given the time of year but we needn't have worried. The hotel staff were great nothing was to much trouble from the receptionist to the lovely lady serving at breakfast. Everyone had a smile on their face which isn't always the case with British hotels.
The room was clean and tidy.
The breakfast was served rather the advertised buffet on two days due to lack of residents having breakfast but the quantity served wasn't diminished.
People moan a lot and praise is rare so when praise is justified I think it should be given and for this stay the praise is justified

Nothing too wrong with this Holiday Inn, but it is in dire need of a refurbish. The shower was like being dribbled on by a teething toddler. Staff were very helpful and happy.

Location was probably the best you'll get in Preston, not a particularly nice town to be in to be honest but the hotel was in the better part. Staff were quite helpful although one made a sly comment about one of the rooms we were given. Upon questioning she told me the toilet doesn't flush, giggled, and walked away which in my opinion was just unprofessional. The room was nice, comfortable beds and had everything you would need. WiFi didn't work on my phone, seems to be that their log in process doesn't work properly on Android. The receptionist did help me by putting me through to their tech team and he did solve my problem by disabling the log in proccess altogether. The breakfast was nice, cooked breakfast was what you would expect and hope for. And there was other options available. Overall not bad.

Overall we had a good stay as a business couple. Staff were fantastic. Best of all was the lovely Thai lady from the restaurant. We did however find the evening dining wasn't great. Food wasn't up the the standard of the price being asked. Also there was quite a few bits in the room that didn't work including the air con.
