Nothing too wrong with this Holiday Inn, but it is in dire need of a refurbish. The shower was like being dribbled on by a teething toddler. Staff were very helpful and happy.

Rooms too small.

Location was probably the best you'll get in Preston, not a particularly nice town to be in to be honest but the hotel was in the better part. Staff were quite helpful although one made a sly comment about one of the rooms we were given. Upon questioning she told me the toilet doesn't flush, giggled, and walked away which in my opinion was just unprofessional. The room was nice, comfortable beds and had everything you would need. WiFi didn't work on my phone, seems to be that their log in process doesn't work properly on Android. The receptionist did help me by putting me through to their tech team and he did solve my problem by disabling the log in proccess altogether. The breakfast was nice, cooked breakfast was what you would expect and hope for. And there was other options available. Overall not bad.

Situated in the heart of Preston city centre the hotel is handy for shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There is free wi-fi and tea/coffee facilities in the room. The staff were very helpful - we had to ask for an extension lead and it was brought to our room within minutes. The breakfast was buffet-style with an excellent choice whether you wanted a continental or a full English breakfast. The service was good. We would definitely stay again.

Stayed recently for a staff Christmas party at the venue. The party was good (free bar) and the room was as expected. The breakfast looked great but I couldn't stomach it!

The location is handy too as it's just a few minutes walk into Preston city centre.

I'd stay here again.

Boom boom boom boom.
I booked a double room
To spend the night together
For now and till forever

I booked for 7 days
Was told could accommodate on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday but apparently you were fully booked on Sunday

I hoped to be living la Vida with a little bit of Rita by my side. But you were fully booked and I was told I was entitled to a rewind and free accommodation in the room with the crazy paving.

Anyway. I arrived and there were sweets (like chocolate) on my pillow and I had no need to 'turn around'.

All in all fantastic stay and I would recommend.

Booked the day before, one of the better Holiday Inns I have stayed in, room very clean and comfortable, staff very helpful & friendly, breakfast excellent, easy check in and out, quiet given the location.

Now I felt lucky to get a side-on view of the remarkable bus station from my window - but maybe not everyone would. There wasn't much on the overpriced bistro menu at the restaurant, but it is a small place that seems tightly managed. Built 15 years ago, the building functions well, with it's reception on the floor above with all the other services like the inevitable over-priced bar. Bed was great. It's a notch up on Premier Inn. Nothing exciting, but cosy and functional.

We found the staff to be extremely polite and helpful. The breakfasts were superb with a great choice all nicely cooked, and sufficiently strong coffee. We had dinner there one night and found that to be really good too. The hotel car park is small but there is large overflow car park 50 yds away which you can park in for free all weekend.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn for a week whilst working in Lancaster. It is situated on the edge of the town next to the bus station. The hotel is a typical Holiday Inn and everything looks the same as the others that I have stayed in. The one twist was the bar manager who was excellent, he managed the bar, took room service calls amongst everything else. By the Wednesday he knew who I was when calling in room service. I also requested something off the menu and he made sure this was correct. Hotel is 3*, service is 5*

Stayed at the hotel on 28th November.
The hotel staff where very good on arrival and helped with me parking my 35ft long car and trailer.
The room was adequate as the hotel seems in places dated.
Due to it being in the city it was obviously noisy.
The great find was the food in the restaurant.
Muscles to start with a hot crusty roll
Beef Stew and Dumplings with veg for main.
The menu looked very very good and all the food I saw looked top draw.
The price £15 for 2 courses.
£20 for 3 courses.
I have probably stayed in about 100+ hotels this year all around the British Isles and Ireland.
By far the best food I have had.
Breakfast also didn't disappoint with a vast array of options.
Decent hotel with great food.

The Holiday Inn is located on a busy ring road and has a very small car-park, but the accommodation is typical of the Holiday Inn chain, and it represents reasonable value for money. The breakfasts are very good value, and the hotel is pretty heavily patronised during weekdays by business people. The staff are attentive and friendly. Good value for a business trip.

Don't ever arrive in Preston in rush hour times, because finding the Holiday Inn in the extremely complex road system they have, makes it almost impossible to find the front entrance, and doesn't help this hotel at all. This city has a major traffic problem, which I can't see anybody finding a solution to it for many years, so I won't stay there again, which is a shame because it's a nice hotel, ruined by too many cars.

Room was clean, was quite small and everything seemed crammed. Average accommodation, personally feel corridors could do with a brighten up. Bar was nice and breakfast had a good selection, great location.

My wife and I stayed here for one night last week to attend a show at the Guildhall. This is no more than a five minute walk away. The room was fine as were the public areas although the car park at the hotel is fairly small. Very friendly reception staff and the breakfast deal at £10 per room (£5 per person for two) is fantastic value. The food was terrific too. We were very happy visitors and the place offers good value for money.

My wife and I had tickets for Shawn Klush at The Guild Hall Preston on Friday. We wanted a hotel within a short walking distance so the Holiday Inn is perfect, about a 10 minute journey.

Check in was swift and friendly, although reception is on the 1st floor. Car park is small but we managed to find a spot. Room was a good size with comfortable king size bed. Very clean and tidy. Bathroom was larger than some hotels with plenty of room around the sink for toiletries, etc.

Friday was a rush to get to Preston after work, so decided to eat in the restaurant before the show. Both my wife and I had soup of the day, very hot with warm bread. I had the steak and chips, wife a panneni and chips. Both meals hot and well cooked, very enjoyable. With drinks and a tip a fare price.

Show at the Preston Guild Hall was excellent, although views spoiled for some fans with people standing near the stage dancing. Shawn Klush is the best Elvis tribute act I have ever seen. He bears a frightening resemblance to The King himself. The overall production was first class with excellent sound and lighting. Made extra special with backing singers sweet inspiration including an original member from 1969/77. A fantastic evening and a must for any Elvis fan.

Had breakfast in the hotel which was enjoyable although some items on the fry up could have been warmer. Something to do with the temperature on the bay marie according to my wife who works in catering.

Overall I would highly recommend the Holiday Inn for any events which are on a The Preston Guild Hall. I would definitely return here again.

When you are away on business you are looking for an easy check in, a decent meal, a nice bed, awesome shower and a good breakfast! Staples I think!

The holiday inn delivers on the breakfast and dinner.

The parking issues makes this hotel rather unusual - having to walk through a bus station at 10pm with my clothes was not what I was expecting.

Shower is mediocre and room is average. I personally wouldn't stay here again due to the parking and therefore couldn't justify the slightly extra expense compared to a premier inn or Travelodge.

On a positive staff are really friendly and the bar / restaurant area is inviting and modern.

I want to write a glowing review. Sadly I can't.

The hotel is situated on the A59 but that isn't a huge problem.

I arrived at about 8pm and found the 35 or so spaces in the car park fully occupied and therein lies the problem. The hotel has around 130 rooms. The lady on reception did advise that I could park in the car park next door at no cost or go to the other nearby car park and pay £4.50 for the evening. I parked next door but the issue is you have to vacate by 0700. So although my meeting was only 10 minutes drive away and wasn't due to start until 0900 I got up at 0630 to move my car into the HI car park. At that point the only space available was in an area that does say no parking so I accept the next bit. Having parked there...when I checked in I had to ask the receptionist to move her car so I could get out (I think staff park in that section). My point being parking is a significant problem here.

Check in was very good. The lifts worked fine and were good. The room was clean and tidy. I will say that the mattress was too soft as I sank straight into it and the next day felt a little achy. There was the usual pillow choice but I couldn't get comfortable because the bed allowed you to sink too far into it.

The shower took a little while to find the right temperature on but the pressure was fabulous.

I had a wine at the bar - great service from a happy chatty lady.

The TV didn't have subtitles on most channels (hard of hearing so I have the choice of upsetting the whole corridor or not watching tv). BNroadband was diabolical in the evening but just about acceptable in the morning.

Would I stay here again? I dont think so....I need the assurance of being able to park in a space in the hotel and not having to get early on a day when I know I'll be driving until 11pm. For me that was the deal breaker.

We enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn
As I had traveled from Yorkshire I was hoping to get a park at the front of the hotel luckily I did to my relief, as on the reviews people stated that it was a small car park.
Checking in was quick and easy, the staff on reception were very obliging with any queries. Our room, which was on the 7th floor was tidy and clean with comfy beds, ironing board and iron hairdryer and coffee and tea facilities.
We had Breakfast on both mornings that we stayed and there was a good choice of full English, continental, cereal and yoghurt and fresh fruit.
All the staff were very helpfull.
I remember this hotel from my younger days as the Crest Hotel. Brought back some memories of good times drinking in the bar.
I will definitely book again at this hotel .

Stayed here for a party in Preston so it was only a base. But it's modern, nice bar, very good breakfast and the rooms are clean and well appointed. There's all you need including toiletries.
I'd stay there again. Staff very nice.

City centre hotel offering usual Holiday Inn amenities. Car park very small but managed to find a space Check in quick and friendly. Asked for a high room and was given one on the top floor. Dinner bed and breakfast for the two of us for a very reasonable £115. Evening meal comprised of a very bland curry for me which was left, that said my wife had sea bass which she enjoyed. Had a great nights sleep, followed by a good buffet breakfast. All the staff we met were pleasant and polite. Overall a good stay

The hotel offers the standard Holiday Inn service and rooms. The staff are friendly but I had problems with checking in and room service however eventually it was sorted out. Car parking could be an issue as car park is small. The location is next to bus station and ring road so expect some noise.
Overall a good place to stay in Preston city centre.

Stayed here for one night Friday 7th Oct to attend a cheese & wine tasting. Natalie checked us in and was very polite, friendly and extremely helpful. Room was small but all we needed for one night and the bed was really comfortable. Big thank you to the lady on reception when we checked out this morning (I forgot to get her name) who was running round trying to find the idiot who had parked behind us on double yellow lines which made it really difficult to get out. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is attending something in Preston and just needs a room for the night. 👍
