Stayed for 2 nights. Room a bit average - shower had poor”ish” water pressure, room could have been warmer - not helped as the thick window curtain was in front of it. Can’t imagine the room has been updated for 20 years but was ok in terms of cleanliness.
The best aspect was the staff who appeared extremely hard working and conscientious. Had breakfast and evening bar food both days and both were good again staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful as they were in the evening.

I stayed at the hotel for one night. It is conveniently located near to the city. Family room was very cosy and clean. Breakfast was included in the price, which was bonus for the 40 pound which I had paid.

Stayed here overnight with my 2 children. The room was clean and very accomadating. My children slept well and enjoyed breakfast the next morning. Staff where frendly and eager to help. Also has a large car park. WOuld stay here again on my next visit to Preston.

Last minute booking here due to travel issues - great room, good food and friendly welcome from reception. Car park seems a bit small, cars were abandoned on double yellows making entry and exit a bit tricky. Overall very good.

Decent stay. Clean room and friendly check-in staff. Big shout out to Aaron in the restaurant who accommodated our late arrival for breakfast with a friendly smile and a lovely full english from the back. Top man.

Let’s start with the building, itself. Unattractive, brick built, semi-circular and squeezed between the bus station and a main road; not encouraging. The car park is tiny, as well, and not helped by the thoughtless parking of a couple of ‘executive’ saloon cars.
The reception is on the first floor and was efficient and courteous.
The main issue was the room. I was allocated a twin room that was so small that the beds were actually touching.
The TV gave very limited choice, with most of the channels being locked out, untuned or generally not available. Even C4 wasn’t available - although I did have the choice of about 3 versions of BBC1 and ITV. In this day and age, this is pretty poor.
Talking of poor, the wireless internet was very slow, so I ended up using my 4G mobile instead. Again, should be better.
The bathroom was adequate and functional, although the sink tap wouldn’t give cold water, going from warm to hot enough to make tea!
On balance, I’m glad that I only stayed one night on business. I’m not sure that this would be my choice for an extended stay.

Beds were nice. We were still in our room at 12pm I did ask room service to clean the room after we had gone nobody came. Came back to the room at 7pm phones room service somebody come up but we were still in the room. I told the lady come back in a hour nobody still cleaned the room. Wasn't very happy.

Not the nicest HI we’ve stayed at and we’ve stayed many places with Spire Elite status. 24 hour room service but no room service menu per front desk when i requested an omelette. (I found one later in our stay which had an omelette as an option) phone in room didn’t work half the time. The refrigerators have been taken out of all the rooms (I was informed of this when I called as it was removed from our room). I had bought a lot of food as I am traveling with a 3 year old with food allergies and had to throw it all away. (They did offer to store it in their small employee refrigerator but I don’t trust that with my child’s food as he has food allergies) Window leaking when rained. As we are are Spire Elite status we usually have at least complimentary water in the room (or a candy bar that we can’t eat) or an upgrade offer but there was nothing.
Beds are comfortable thankfully and room dark in the morning and at night before the sun goes down. (Important for putting a child to bed at 7pm!). The aircon also worked which was a plus in this heat we have been having.

a bit tired and in need of an update, the air con was ok which was much needed as Windows have to be shut due to nearby busy A59. food at the bar was ok and reasonably priced, especially if you have a taste card and get 2 for 1. the drinks were expensive, £5 for a San Miguel? overall, ok for a short work stay.

Friendly and helpful staff. Food o.k. Only stayed 1 night but due to location with roads at front and rear it was very noisy in room with police/ambulance sirens all night so wouldn't, stay there again

Good staff, good restaurant. Pricey, but that's because of its city location I guess. Good rooms. Hotel parking is scarce, and to use their overspill lot you need to check out before 7 AM next day. The alternative is a public parking garage by a bus station across the street.
