Five awarded for this hotel. We had an overnight stay on the way back from the Scottish Highlands. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. Very clean and well presented. I also loved the design of the bar and restaurant area with bright colourful furniture.
We had a set evening meal as there was over 30 of us. It was varied with a good choice. Breakfast the next day was buffet style with an excellent and well cooked choice of cooked full English, cereal, yoghurt, cold meats and cheese, pastries, large yummy croissant and hot and cold beverages.
I would recommend eating here.
The rooms were clean, well presented with big beds! Very comfortable.

A family trip to celebrate graduation - staff made us feel very welcome, breakfast team Tess & co were great and in addition to buffet it was nice to be able to order porridge and pancakes. Rooms were spotless thanks Monika and well appointed and location very central. Yes the facade is dated but ticked every box so thanks for a great stay

We were checked in by Laura, she was extremely friendly, warm and reassured us if we need anything to let her know.
We were thanked also for being an IHG Gold elite member and made us feel welcome.
Our room 513 was modern and well equipped, a bit on the small side but was perfect for our one night stay to catch our train in the morning.
The beds were the comfiest beds we have slept in! Great nights sleep.
All in all, do not judge how this hotel looks on the outside, it is great and we will definitely be returning next time we are in Preston!

Was impressed with the reception team and the modern and bright decor. Reception is on the 1st floor, 2 lifts were sensitive to how many people could get in! One broke down over night. Rooms good quality, but not too keen on the hard pillows. Unfortunately for us, the toilet didn't flush, we ended up using the toilets 1 floor below in reception area. We did report the issue, staff manager was apologetic. Breakfast was of high standard, staff friendly and professional. We would recommend this branch of Holiday Inn

Stayed here last minute due to a train cancellation.
The staff are amazing and so friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They went out there way to make us very comfortably. Rooms are very clean with comfortable beds. I would certainly return !

Staff very friendly from Leah at reception to Lorraine at Breakfast very clean and good location rooms a decent size and loved the little messages left which enhanced stay the staff here really want to make each persons stay and nice as possible

We stayed in the Holiday Inn Preston for 3 nights while our team took part in the Blackpool Tournament. There was 21 adults and 20 teenagers on our trip.
The service was wonderful that they provided for the OMP United team. From inital booking to arrival at the Holiday Inn on the 3rd May until departure on the 6th May the service was second to none. The staff were very accommodating, the food was great and the hotel was perfect for our stay.
Thank you Holiday Inn, Preston so much again and hopefully we get the chance to use you guys again in the future.

When working in Preston I like staying at this hotel. It's a good all-rounder, including the location. My review is based upon staying over the last two years.
All staff are very friendly and helpful; I highlight Lorraine, who works as part of the team serving breakfast - she is full of life and welcoming, and Maria and Alicia who work on reception - both are friendly, welcoming and efficient.
Rooms are spacious and beds are firm, with a pillow change service available to suit preference. Rooms are always clean and tidy to a very good standard, I've never had a need to ask for change.

Stayed 2 nights - 1st night there was a problem with the TV but they moved us immediately to another room. Service received by all staff was excellent; room was comfortable and the bed and the food was good.

Came here on a Caledonian holidays trip, rooms were really nice and clean. Food on the set menu provided was not nice though. Really poor quality - tastes like a microwave meal and stuff that had just been slung in the oven. Bar was good on the night, not too pricey for a hotel. Had live sport on and the staff were really nice and supportive. Food just let this place down on the evening but the breakfast in the morning was really good.

Lovely, quiet hotel with friendly, helpful staff who are happy working there. It's quiet because of the way it's built, not because it lacks clientele!
Comfortable rooms, adequately provided with Dove soap, shower and shampoo dispensers and ample tea and coffee etc with more on request.
Breakfast choices are extremely good from full English through continental to vegan and gluten free.
Evening meal was ok but we were on a coach tour package deal so the full menu may be better.

Stayed here with a group overnight on the eay to Scotland. A great location. Next to bus station and only 15 mins walk from train station.
Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Clean, comfortable room. Good food. Had both evening meal and buffet breakfast. Good bar, with plenty of comfortable seating and a good selection of drinks.

The staff were very friendly and the room was really quiet, I got an excellent nights sleep. The service in the restaurant in the evening was lovely and the food good and reasonably priced. Check out was friendly and they stored my bag for the day.

I have stayed at this hotel almost every week since November 2023 and, in my opinion, it's the best hotel in Preston for business travel.
The rooms are always immaculately clean and comfortable and I always get a good night's sleep.
The basics are delivered really well every time: comfortable beds, plenty of storage including hanging space for clothes and ample sockets and USB charging ports, including on both sides of the bed. Breakfast is always tasty and efficient too.
The hotel's biggest asset is its staff, who are always welcoming, friendly and attentive.
I would highly recommend this hotel for business travellers needing a place to stay in Preston.

Excellent stay with short a short notice booking. We urgently left premier inn because of how terrible it was. Holiday inn gladly booked us and gave us the present weekend stay we desired. We loved it so much we booked an extra night! Short walk from the bus station with onsite parking and a high street of nice restaurants that the staff gave great recommendations and local knowledge for.
