Entertaining whether going out or staying in is in the main about being with friends, enjoying good company, good food and of course good wine - Agree?

Of course there is business entertaining too and you want to be sure that the food is right and most definitely your choice of wine.

We have friends staying this weekend and there is nothing lovelier to me than relaxed entertaining and the wine chosen has a great part to play in creating just the right atmosphere.  The two wines recommended by Wilson Wines this week are truly stunning South African Wines.  For pre dinner drinks with olives we shall go for the white. The Red will go extremely well with our slow roasted Gressingham duck.

See the tasting notes for each.

Rocheburg Chenin

This wine is from the  Riebeck Valley in the Western Cape.
This off dry Chenin Blanc is pale green in colour
And well balanced on the palate with flavours
Of apples, pears, and melon  giving it a crisp
Well balanced finish.

Rocheburg Pinotage

Again from the Riebeck valley in the Western Cape.
unique to South Africa this deep concentrated  wine
has depth and firmness. A Black Cherry nose and
palate gives a uniquely delicious flavour .

Wilson Wines are renowned for their service to the license trade and only source wines not found in the supermarkets.  To find out more and how they can assist you in choosing the right wines for your clientele give a call on 01646 429 109
