As always, you can start your weekend at the Farmers Markets (Friday for Haverfordwest, Saturday for Fishguard) to stock up on the good stuff :) Maybe you’ll find some makings for some cooking fun with the kids over half-term? Helping them learn where our food comes from and making the connection between the local farmers and the meals we cook is an enjoyable lesson in itself! Saturday Night (24th October 2015) is SHOWTIME in St Dogmaels as their annual Stars In Their Eyes event returns to the Village Hall to raise more money – and laughter. Go along – you’ll love it! Find out more here.

Down in St David’s, Oriel Y Parc is hosting a Harvest fayre AND Mad Hatter’s Tea Party on Sunday 25th October. There will be so much happening – apple pressing, food producers and tasting, face painting, a BBQ – that you’d better head over to the page to take it all in! Have a look here!

Castell Henllys has all kinds of activites for wannabe warriors over the half-term and Druid School is just one of them. This is a great opportunity for children over 7 to have a fabulous run around at a beautiful and fascinating location whilst learning about the magic and usefulness of plants. The Fishguard Autumn Festival takes place in the town from Tuesday 27th until Sunday 1st November so there’s bound to be an opportunity to pay a visit. There’s a wide-range of exciting events planned so find out more here

There will be a kid’s Halloween party at Pater Hall in Pembroke Dock on Wednesday 28th between 12pm and 3pm. It’s free entry and all are welcome so get dressed up and go along for some fun and games and even some stalls J read more about it here

If you didn’t get to Druid School but would like to visit Castell Henllys over the half-term, how about enjoying their Celtic Halloween celebrations on Thursday 29th October? The Big Bang Weekend at Saundersfoot starts on Friday with the Halloween Trick or Treat Trail that culminates in The Sands and also involves the Spooky Bat Trail which follows clues around the shop windows – will you be the winner? For the grown ups, Canolfan Hermon are holding a Halloween with a difference – Abba tribute band BJORN TO ROCK! This is TICKET ONLY and they’re selling fast so without further ado, dust off your sparkly catsuit and find the essential information here
