Since having Wilson Wines on board thebestof, both Ann and Robin have been introducing me to wines I had never considered before – recall the introduction of the Whitehaven Riesling – what a revelation and stunning wine.  Well this week they have introduced me to Bordeaux.  In the past never a favourite but then I had never tried this medal winning Bordeaux……..

Chateau D’Argadens Bordeaux Superieur 2004

It has a good red berry fruitiness, red and black currant with a hint of cranberry and spice, giving a dry but soft finish.  I am told this wine has a medium body with good acidity. This would go very well with a family favourite – Jerky Venison Casserole au Chocolat!! And a robust cheese platter.

Wilson Wines serve the licensed trade throughout the three counties (Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion)  You will find their service let alone their uniquely sourced wines are second to none.  Don’t take my word for it.  Check out these independent reviews.
