What would you consider your ideal Wedding venue?

Before you dive head first and fall in love with the first venue you visit it is time to do some homework.

Before you even think about visiting a venue it's imperative that you know how many guests you are inviting and the size of your budget!

We are spoiled in Pembrokeshire for venues but lets spotlight two premium venues, one in the North, Rhosygilwen Mansion and in the South, Beggars Reach Hotel.

Your first consideration must go to whether you want your wedding ceremony and reception to be held in one place?

The following questions will then help you decide on a specific venue and the whole feel of your special day.

1.    What is the décor like?  Does it suit your style and colours chosen for your wedding
2.    Will you need to spend extra on flowers and decorations?
3.    Is a Wedding menu available?  Do they cater for a wedding breakfast, a seated meal or/and a buffet?
4.    Is there room for a band or dancing?
5.    Do they already have a sound system and in-house DJ?
6.    Is there an area where you can change and relax?
7.    Is there overnight accommodation for travelling guests?
8.    Do you wish to have your photographs taken inside or outside and is the location suitably stunning?
9.    How much do they charge?  I know I Know but the question has to be asked!

After reading this list it may have brought to mind a few questions you have of your own.  For example,

If you are getting married in a chapel how far is it from your chosen venue?
Is it suitable for a winter wedding?
Or are there enough ladies rooms?!

Beggars Reach near Milford Haven is an ideal wedding venue.
