As we are nearing Halloween Wilson Wines is getting into the spirit (excuse the pun) and spotlighting a Merlot this week which is not only great on its own but superb in Mulled Wine
This is a sensational Mulled Wine, not overly sweet and definitely a great party starter and very 'more-ish' - so a little health warning: Remember to drink responsibly!!
Ingredients:
1 Litre of Chante D’Or Grenache Merlot (see tasting notes here)
½ Carton of Orange juice
1 Shot Cherry Brandy
1 Cinnamon stick
½ apple studded with cloves
Zest of an orange
Orange segments
Brown sugar to taste
Add all the ingredients to a pan and gently heat through. Do not boil!
Double quantities for more of this yummy mulled wine!!!
