A New Zealand Riesling is in the spotlight this week

Last week we were fortunate to be out to dinner at the Stackpole Inn with Ann and Robin owners of Wilson Wines.  We all delighted in a fabulously delicious meal which I will tell you about in another blog but as we are talking wine of the week thought we would highlight the Wine featured at Stackpole Inn and we chose to go with our meal.  Personally Riesling would not have been my first choice as I had always imagined Riesling to be on the sweeter side.  How wrong was I – this wine in the spotlight had a real steeliness and was so refreshing and crisp.  So drum roll as I introduce.....

Whitehaven Riesling
From Marlborough, New Zealand

This wine is crisp with vividly appetising aromas of tropical fruits and gooseberries. Flavours are intensely driven, always fresh with a long staying finish.
This Riesling is ideal with starters, fish, white meats or to be indulgent just have it on its own on a lovely spring evening.  We all enjoyed this wine and it also went well with wonderful Duck one of us had and the steak!!  So if it is a refreshing wine you are looking for then this is it!!

Wilson Wines pride themselves on the wines they source from all over the world.  As a Pub Owner, hotelier or restaurateur you can serve these wines with confidence to your guests and customers knowing they will not have been seen in the local supermarket.

To place an order of this wine or discuss your entire wine list give Wilson Wines a call on 01646 429 109
