And it’s a Pirate’s Paradise!
The Sobell House Hospice Charity has this week launched its fifth annual Moonlight Stroll!

The Stroll is a nine-mile sponsored walk through the streets of Oxford but the twist is it’s at night, giving the ‘Strollers’ a whole new perspective on their city.

The Stroll is the hospice’s biggest annual fundraiser and has raised over a quarter of a million pounds for the charity since it began.

This years event takes on a whole new twist with a Pirate theme.

Fundriaser Kevin Game said ‘Last year’s Stroll was a fantastic success and we’re hoping this year’s will be even better. This year’s theme will be Pirate’s so hopefully there will be plenty of parrots peg legs and eye patches on display.

Last year everyone loved the Witches and Wizards theme and obviously loved dressing up so much we thought we’d give them something different to get their ‘hook’s into this year– geddit?’

We’re hoping to have over 1,200 walkers this year and raise over £100,000 again for the charity which is celebrating it’s 35th year of offering care and support to those people throughout Oxfordshire affected by terminal illness.
