It had been a long while since I took just the 2 older of the 4 children out. My birthday yesterday was a great reason with the 2 younger girls away this half term with Grandma.
After receiving a recommendation for the Kazbah in Cowley Road through this website, we headed off for tapas....something to 'keep us going' late in the afternoon. My...we could have stepped into another country...the service and welcome was really unusual for this country....incredibly friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a lovely selection of tapas and desserts (I forgot that tapas are half price between 4&7pm...we should have taken more advantage of this!).
The Phoenix Picturehouse had also been recommended via thebestof Oxford, but it wouldn't take much to encourage me to go there! We saw Invictus....a fab film in a 'gem' of a cinema - it almost felt we had a private viewing! Go to the Phoenix if you haven't been before, for a lovely, cosy cinema experience.
The evening finished with pizza and wine in town....basically we all had a great night out! Can you recommend your favourite place in town? Is it the service, the food, the atmosphere...that makes them stand out?
