The Qube in Oswestry & The Wedding Dress

Drive or walk by the Qube today and you will have seen the glamorous sight of Qube volunteers wearing their spectacular wedding outfits.

Why?  I hear you ask.  Well, Terri Evans - a passionate Qube volunteer - in her splendid scarlet wedding dress with encrusted crystals and gorgeous train, is doing it to support the Qube services which she believes provide a great boon to local people with mobility issues in getting around the town.

She wanted to draw attention to their Dial-a-Ride service as well as the facility to rent a mobility scooter for the day to do your shopping and explore Oswestry.

Terri spoke live on BBC Shropshire Radio on the Jim Hawkin's breakfast show this morning and told him that as as well as the mobility facilities, the Qube also host some astonishing art exhibitions - as an example, they are showing a Peter Blake exhibition (this is the guy who designed the Beatle's Sgt Pepper album cover).

The Qube also runs LearnDirect courses for Maths and English as well as IT courses too.  They also have a couple of computers that the public can use.

So thank you for your inspiration Terri for bringing the wonders of Qube to the attention of Shropshire!
