The Oswestry Festival of the Word 2010 starts today!  There are events all across the week from 13-20th March.

Tonight, the festival starts with a bang with Little Red Bird, Bluegrass/Folk Duo at The Walls - this is SOLD OUT!  There are Oswestry Literary Walks today, Wed (2.30pm) and next Saturday (10.30am) - just call John on 07972-113619 to book.

The talk by Dominic Hibberd at Booka Bookshop is also FULLY BOOKED.  There are remaining places to hear Wilfred Owen - A poet and his places by author and translator, Helen McPhail; there are also remaining places to hear author, Angela Huth talking about her new sequenl to Landgirls called Once a Landgirl.  Local former landgirl Nora Morgan will be making an appearance too to share her experiences as a Landgirl.

The Oswestry Poets' HOWL on Thursday evening at The Ironworks provides a rare opportunity to hear local poetry being performed in good company and with good beer.

Lots of events happening...talks, drama, storytelliong, songwriting, children's authors...don't miss it!
