If like us you have been meaning to buy a card or order some flowers all week and are now panicking, here are some quick ideas to get you out of trouble:

Flowers - Margaret Emms, florist in Norwich, is offering free delivery within the Norwich area. She can also deliver flowers and gifts anywhere in the UK or around the world.

Gifts - French Chic Interiors is offering free delivery - with a range of homewares and gift ideas, you can get something completely different for your mother or mother-in law.

Candles and gifts - Applewoods have two stores in the Mall and Chapelfield offering a range of gifts and the popular yankee candles.

Chocolates - take your pick from our local chocolatiers, Saffire Chocolates and the Norfolk Truffle Company.

Vouchers for treatments at a beauty salon or complementary therapy.

Afternoon tea - treat your mother to a lovely afternoon tea in the stunning surroundings of Caistor Hall, with it's country house feel and landscaped grounds. Afternoon tea costs £7.50 per person.

Mothers Day lunch - try our recommended Norwich restaurants such as Relish Restaurant and Bar, just outside Norich (with loads of free parking), the Maids Head in central Norwich, Caistor Hall Hotel, just on the outskirts of Norwich, or the Nelson in central Norwich (again with free parking). Details of all of these can be found here.
