It's been a long time since I went on a coach trip, but I do remember, from many years ago before the advent of budget airlines, going to Amsterdam and Cologne by coach, and those trips were made with Woods Coaches!
I'm not surprised to hear, then, that Woods is Leicestershire's longest established coach operator, a family owned business established in 1950 and now offering day trips to over 500 destinations and a varied programme of UK and European holidays.
Sales Manager Chris told me, " Many of our drivers have been with Woods Coaches for numerous years and their experience is second to none. Their friendly and knowledgeable personalities, combined with excellent customer care skills, ensure that each trip runs smoothly and everyone is looked after."
"Combine this with luxurious, comfortable vehicles, and it's not surprising that the company has won numerous awards and that many customers return year after year."
Woods Coaches has now added Market Harborough to its list of pick-up points and local passengers can now board at the bus lay-by outside of the Market Hall.
The programme of destinations for the next few weeks, not surprisingly, includes many Christmas shopping trips and Christmas markets, as well as fun festive visits, such as to the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland.
I must admit I hadn't considered a coach trip before talking to Chris last week, but I've wanted to see the show 'Jersey Boys' in London for some time. Normally I'd drive and probably stay overnight but, of course, this all adds to the cost and means it gets put off for a bit longer! Woods currently has a trip to the show, including return coach travel and a top class theatre ticket, for £59 - now that sounds like a great idea!
To book with Woods Coaches in Market Harborough, you can call into Lords Electrical on Church St., or call 0116 278 6374.
If you book before December 31st and it's your first trip with Woods, you can claim a £5 per person discount on a day trip, or £10 per person on a holiday, by quoting the "New Traveller" discount voucher.
