Vandals who've been cutting the brake cables of cars in local villages are being warned they could kill someone….

HFM's Chris Jones reported the story to local people.

"During the last week the cables have been cut underneath two cars that were parked up…

One was in Uppingham Road, Billesdon…the other in Scotland Road in Houghton on the Hill..

Luckily the drivers of both cars realised before they set off..else their brakes would have failed…

Harborough Police found a petrol can near one of the vehicles so believe those responsible could have being trying to siphon petrol out…

Officers say the consequences of such actions could be potentially fatal..

They're urging anyone with information to call them."
