Fancy a day at the seaside? Well there's no need to load the car, get stuck in traffic and find the tide's out when you get there, because on Wednesday 5th August the seaside is coming to Market Harborough town centre!
Yes, Harborough Improvement Team have brought the sandpits back to the town, and this year it's celebrating a good old fashioned seaside holiday. So come on down between 10am and 4pm, roll up your trousers, grab a free bucket & spade and build a giant sandcastle, get a free limited edition cotton bag courtesy of Lawson West, try and win a prize on the Neighbourhood watch tombola & HIT Town Trail, or just relax in a deck chair - knotted hanky on the head is optional! As is traditional look out for the embarrassing photo promoting the event in this week's Harborough Mail and Harborough Citizen.
Anyone from HIT who can spare 30 minutes on the day and wants to come and help myself, Mel and Marion handing out the buckets and spades then please do!
