Rainbows Children's Hospice Red Brick Appeal

Thebestof Market Harborough has always supported Rainbows Children's Hospice wherever we can. They are now in a position of needing massive investment to further improve the quality of care they can offer to the children and families being helped by them.

This is an appeal from Maureen of Rainbows Children's Hospice which will give an outline of what they do.

"Rainbows Children's Hospice cares for children and young people up to the age of 25 and under Government Regulations we now cannot have over and under 18 year olds in the Hospice at the same time. This has meant that we now have to adapt and extend our facilities in order for us to continue to care and give the same element of support as we previously have to these families with life-limited children. The alterations and new build, plus equipping it with new bathrooms, bedrooms and a hydrotherapy pool will cost £4m, hence earlier this year we launched our "Building for the Future" Appeal. As part of this initiative and so that everyone across the East Midlands can assist us in our venture, we are launching a Red Brick Appeal. We felt that most people could afford a small amount of money and feel that they are contributing to this very worthy need. I am trying to get our appeal publicised in all local papers and periodicals across the East Midlands (we are the only children's hospice for the East Midlands) in order that we can meet our target as quickly as possible as at the present time, we have families whose children straddle this age divide and we cannot give them the total care they are used to from us."

They would appreciate it very much if you could consider supporting them in this way. If you require any further information ring Maureen on 01509 638007 or visite their website www.rainbowshospice.org.uk
