This month will see a new face on the S17 Harborough & Bowdens Neighbourhood Policing Team as PC Kev Marsh moves on to other duties.

PC 1523 Paul Williams is replacing Kev as one of the primary beat officers for the town and the villages of Little and Great Bowden. Paul has 14 years policing experience having joined Leicestershire Constabulary in 1996. Since that time he has worked in a number of different roles within the force including 6 years as the Field Intelligence Officer at Market Harborough Local Policing Unit.

Sgt Pete Jelbert (Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant) said “Paul is a tenacious police officer with an excellent knowledge of the local area having already worked here for many years. He knows many local residents and businesses and most of the local offenders as well.”

He went on to say “Given all Paul’s previous policing experience both in uniform and in plain clothes, he will be a welcome addition to the team. I’m confident that he will hit the ground running and will work effectively alongside PC Malc Roberts who shares the S17 beat with him.”

Paul said “I’m looking forward to getting personal with the local community including the local trouble makers. My priorities are to increase the trust and confidence in the local policing unit and to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour within the area of my beat - I’m looking forward to getting started.”
